Looking at the general state of things the key to whether you should invest in Disc Jam or not comes down to your tastes and whether you either have friends to play with or can put up with online play being hit or miss in terms of opponent availability. Playing against the CPU does have some variation but always feels quite different from a live adversary. Throw in the pretty blatant attempt to extract more money from people who’ve bought in and it isn’t a game without merit but it struggles to stand out as a game that’s suitable for everyone.

Disc Jam, a game that takes the design philosophy of Rocket League and mixes it with the core principles of tennis, has made it's way to the Nintendo Switch. Ace.

If you're looking for a decent online game to pass time, Disc Jam is a very suitable choice due to its good pricing and enjoyable nature. but if you want something further than just good, or if you're looking to spend lots of time in an online world, Disc Jam is not the game to be recommended as it fails to keep its appeal after a few hours.

Athletes in general will find something to love with Disc Jam. The gameplay and controls are marvelously well designed that will bring out the competitive spirit and sport adoration in any fan. Matches are relatively short, intense, and bring what many arcade experiences fail at. Just something about throwing a metal disc is so much fun. Nevertheless, that doesn't excuse only having two online game modes and a lack of stat keeping. It's a good thing that a team is throwing tournaments so often. In the end though, as a PlayStation Plus title we could have gotten worse. If you enjoy sports definitely download this game.

Disc Jam could be so much more with some extended development...but if the Switch’s player-base can embrace the game and sustain a community, this could be one of the console’s go-to multiplayer titles for many.

Disc Jam is a really well developed competitive sporting experience that feels familiar, yet futuristic.

Disc Jam offers the ideal balance of simplicity and depth you’d want from an arcade-like sports experience. The action is fast and matches often tense but sadly the overall package is let down by some rougher edges and gross microtransactions. Windjammers might still reign as king of the fake Frisbee-style sports genre but Disc Jam is a decent enough imitation for the Nintendo Switch.

Perhaps, as was the case for Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, Disc Jam is just a few years and a few tweaks away from something special.

Disc Jam is an entertaining sport game which is enjoyable playing online or with friends in Split Screen mode but the lack of content and not having the ability to play with AI, prevent the game to be a great one. Also, the graphics of the game are not great. With that said, if the developer support the game and release new content for it, this 15 dollar game can become a successful and entertaining experience.

Disc Jam is a nice base for something big in the future. It has a simple-to-grasp control scheme, fun and accessible gameplay, and even takes more strategy to succeed either solo or on a team than one would expect from a game like this. Sadly, it often feels too bare to spend as much time in it as other options out there.

The entirety of Disc Jam depends on if you're into playing Disc Jam competitively online. If you're not into that, then this game is probably not for you.

"Disc Jam" has the right formula to become the next big breakout indie game and possibly even succeed as an eSport. The matchmaking will need to improve and new content delivered regularly to prevent it from becoming just a passing fad, but with a high fun factor and strategic nature, despite simplicity and accessibility, "Disc Jam" delivers.

Disc Jam is a fun co-op experience if you play it on the Nintendo Switch but it doesn't hide the fact that the game lacks content for its offline single player mode.

The game is seriously addicting thanks to the gratifying mechanics and simple, fun premise that it's built on. I can see myself jumping online almost daily to claw my way through the ranks but I do worry that the long wait times for matches will only get worse if High Horse Entertainment don't manage to pull in some more players. I wish them all the best and hope to see Disc Jam continue to be supported by them for the foreseeable future.

Disc Jam invokes the spirit of days gone by in arcades of old playing air hockey, and works well, but doesn’t quite have the oomph to impress upon you any must-have demands.

Fresh out of a fun-filled beta period, Disc Jam brings exciting disc-tossing arcade sports action to the PC. Its core game is entertaining, but it lacks the polish found in other multiplayer sports titles.
