Old Time Hockey Reviews
Whether it's laying out big hits or scoring satisfying goals there's some fun to be had with "Old Time Hockey." It just takes too long to get to a place of enjoyment, and even then doesn't negate the underlying issues and otherwise lack of content despite a reasonable $12 price point.
Its the old school hockey game you need in your life right now!
Old Time Hockey does capture that spirit of arcade hockey in a perfect way that will completely satisfy fans of the sport.
Old Time Hockey won't offend any hockey enthusiast with its core arcade gameplay. The other good thing is an offline multiplayer, but otherwise it's only an average game with multiple faults and a lack of content.

Old Time Hockey is just that--an homage to the 90's era of hockey video games--with NHL '94 being its closest comparison. It's a bit rough around the edges, but it honors hockey games of yesteryear, and should be played by us aging gamers who grew up in the 8 and 16-bit eras of gaming.
Old Time Hockey brings back the nostalgia of old hockey games that I played with my dad growing up & I couldn't ask for anything more.
Old Time Hockey's horrendous characters models will hurt your eyes, while its annoying sound effects—which get repeated ad nauseam—will make you want to mute your TV. Those willing to put the game's presentational issues aside and trudge forward with the experience will still more than likely concede after only a few matches based upon the fact that the game just feels poor in all regards.
All in all this game is fun to play. My little guilty pleasure of the year so far. Yes it does have some issues but if you can look past those any hockey fan will enjoy the break from fast paced over complicated NHL to a glory day slug fest arcade-like hockey game, especially PC users at a $11.99 price tag.
The greatest thing about Old-Time Hockey is just how well-suited it is for whatever you might want to do outside of the usual EA Sports NHL fare – V7 Entertainment leaves it to EA to do what EA does best, while tailoring its own offering to everyone else.
Old Time Hockey is a great concept poorly executed. It’s marred by some dodgy controls and a series of baffling design decisions. What could have been a neat throwback to old fashioned hockey is instead a massively missed opportunity.
Old Time Hockey is every bit as good off the ice as it is bad on the ice. They get the romanticized homage to Slap Shot and the pre-helmet rough-and-tumble hockey of the 1970s perfect. The romanticized homage to 90s arcade hockey games doesn’t just miss the net. It’s over the glass and out of play.
