Not a big leap forward but still a solid addition. This is Guilty Gear XRD at its best.

If you are a Guilty Gear fan, you shouldn't miss out on the chance to experience the conclusion of the story that started with the original Guilty Gear Xrd. The new additional moves and balance changes along with the new characters improve an already fantastic fighting game.

A beautiful fighting game with an incredible depth to the mechanics. Stylish, compelling, and above all fun, 'Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2' hits all the right marks. The depth of the content and tutorials allow both seasoned fighting game veterans and those completely new to the genre to dive in to the world of Guilty Gear.

Guilty Gear: Xrd REV 2 deserves the full attention of all 2D fighting games fans that have not yet tried it, especially if you consider the honestly reduced price.

This installment comes with all the DLC that released on its predecessor in addition to a new chapter in the story. However, it still does not come with enough content to justify its purchase for original owners.

Overall, Rev 2 is a great step above other fighting games available in terms of content. While I enjoy the addition of a fresh face and that of the veteran, I don’t see the justification of making a whole new version, but the several new additions found around the game and new balance patch definitely helps ease my concerns towards Rev 2.

Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 is an fantastic game, there's no doubt about that. Revelator was already an incredible fighting game, and for anyone who's yet to experience it this is an easy purchase to make. When you look at the game simply for what's new and compare price points, things start to get a little dicey. There are other additions, but they're so minor, and if you're a player only interested in the competitive scene, they don't matter to you at all. Rev 2 is an amazing all-around package, and deserves just as good a score as the last game, but as an add-on it's a bit too light for the premium price-point it's boasting.

Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 is being published both as a standalone title with the full package (at a bargain compared to other just launched fighters) as well as a DLC pack for half the price for owners of the last game.

It keeps all the things REV 1 did so well and improving them in every way, without ever making a mistake. The only thing I can criticise here would be the story or film mode, which is easily forgivable for such a great fighting game. Without a doubt, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 is a truly flawless game.

Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 doesn't really change anything fundamentally, but it brings Guilty Gear Xrd one step closer to perfection. If you still haven't bought Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator, REV 2 is a perfect way to jump into the action since it includes all the previous DLCs. If on the other hand you already have Revelator, you can purchase just the REV 2 update for only 19.99. If you are still not convinced then you can always check out the PlayStation Plus demo.

Easy to learn, hard to master, beautiful to watch and imbued with a performant netcode: REV 2 is probably the best 2D fighting game so far.

Guilty Gear is a hardcore fighter, both to its benefit and its detriment. On the one hand, fighting game players will adore Guilty Gear for its fast paced gameplay, beautiful art style and deep tools for learning advanced techniques, but for anyone not either immersed in fighting games or the Guilty Gear series it's a tough, if not impossible sell. A wonderful game, but not one likely to earn any new fans.

Guilty Gear Xrd: REV 2 isn't as big of a jump as the one -REVELATOR- made, but it is a welcome one nonetheless. It still remains one of the best fighting games out on the market today, and the additions present here make an already good game even better.

Easy to play but far harder to master, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2‘s cast of ridiculous characters, improbable moves, heavy rock soundtrack and accessible fight mechanics will keep you engaged and challenged.

To put it bluntly, there's never been a better time to jump into this fantastic fighting game. Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 is the total package. The new story content is nice, but the changes and additions to the roster really bring everything together. All of the characters are deep, complex, and rewarding to learn. The competition tends to be fierce, if not entirely on another level, but there's never any reason to feel put off. This title provides all of the necessary resources to help newcomers make meaningful progress. In short, you don't want to miss out on one of the best fighting games of the year.

It's a deep, complex, stylish game that blows every other fighter out of the water, but made surprisingly accessible through things like the Stylish control scheme and a Combo/Mission modes that serve to teach useful, practical combos and strategies.

Guilty Gear Xrd: Rev 2 builds upon an already fantastic fighter, and those previously invested will no doubt appreciate the various additions and alterations. Guilty Gear's knack for combining incredible style with deep, almost open-ended combo-based gameplay is as impressive as ever, even if this isn't the most robust of expansions.
