Guilty Gear: Xrd REV 2 deserves the full attention of all 2D fighting games fans that have not yet tried it, especially if you consider the honestly reduced price.

If you are a Guilty Gear fan, you shouldn't miss out on the chance to experience the conclusion of the story that started with the original Guilty Gear Xrd. The new additional moves and balance changes along with the new characters improve an already fantastic fighting game.

This revision of the Ark System Works' game brings new characters, scenarios and an improvement of ots gameplay mechanics. Everything that we could ask for this “new” game.

Guilty Gear Xrd: Rev 2 builds upon an already fantastic fighter, and those previously invested will no doubt appreciate the various additions and alterations. Guilty Gear's knack for combining incredible style with deep, almost open-ended combo-based gameplay is as impressive as ever, even if this isn't the most robust of expansions.

Guilty Gear is a hardcore fighter, both to its benefit and its detriment. On the one hand, fighting game players will adore Guilty Gear for its fast paced gameplay, beautiful art style and deep tools for learning advanced techniques, but for anyone not either immersed in fighting games or the Guilty Gear series it's a tough, if not impossible sell. A wonderful game, but not one likely to earn any new fans.

There is a creeping feeling that this glorified update is lacking in content, though the discounted full price and the option to purchase an upgrade for owners of Revelator makes it easier to recommend. Here's to a more substantial installment for the next iteration of Guilty Gear.

Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 is being published both as a standalone title with the full package (at a bargain compared to other just launched fighters) as well as a DLC pack for half the price for owners of the last game.

Guilty Gear Xrd REV2 isn't enough of a change from its original release for any of the points that I made back then to have become obsolete. In the end it's just an expansion to an already great fighting game. No more, no less.

All in all, Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 is a welcome upgrade for fans that own the previous iteration (they even get a discount), and an especially meaty experience for newcomers, even if the story will be far ahead of their level of understanding. With Injustice 2 and Tekken 7 falling in the same month, it's been a heck of a comeback for modern fighting games.

A tough, technical fighter with a lot of resources to help you conquer it. Shame about the story mode, though.

Easy to play but far harder to master, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2‘s cast of ridiculous characters, improbable moves, heavy rock soundtrack and accessible fight mechanics will keep you engaged and challenged.

Guilty Gear Xrd: REV 2 isn't as big of a jump as the one -REVELATOR- made, but it is a welcome one nonetheless. It still remains one of the best fighting games out on the market today, and the additions present here make an already good game even better.

Let's say if you didn't play main version of Guilty Gear Xrd, its a prefect time to jump in to its wonderful world with Guilty Gear Xrd rev 2 and if you have the main version, you should definitely think about upgrade it to rev 2. Guilty Gear Xrd rev 2 is a good game with beautiful and unique art style and amazing characters, but Storylines are not as good as the main story. Also, New maps are beautiful but with not much depth. In the end i must say that Guilty Gear Xrd rev 2 is a unique and high quality fighting game that absolutely worth your time.

Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 may be more of the same, but it's still, undoubtedly, an exciting and intense fighter through and through.

Revelator 2 has little that’s actually new in terms of modes; there’s a few new bells and whistles such as being to switch characters immediately from the menu in practice mode, and a refreshed online menu. That aside, it has all the neat features that the original Revelator did: the excellent tutorial, mission and challenge modes. So REV 2 essentially builds on an already great game.

Not a big leap forward but still a solid addition. This is Guilty Gear XRD at its best.

This installment comes with all the DLC that released on its predecessor in addition to a new chapter in the story. However, it still does not come with enough content to justify its purchase for original owners.

Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 is worth the purchase as DLC if you already own and like Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. But in a niche market that is getting a bit crowded, I cannot recommend it be at the top of your list. Only when compared to fighting game releases of this year does it come out on top and that will not be for long.
