The Franz Kafka Videogame is a smart, beautiful and challenging game. However, its very short duration makes it feel like it has wasted a lot of potential.

I commend the developer for taking on such an odd corner of literature and creating a unique story inspired by a Bohemian author.

The Franz Kafka Videogame is an exquisite recipe that combines books, videogames and a great art direction, and the overall result is pretty unique. Unfortunately the puzzles, albeit well-thought, require not always clear and require a good knowledge of the author. The gameplay is best suited for a mobile experience, anyway.

A weird and pleasant puzzle game, which delivers a nice challenge. Too bad that game is rather short, and the difficulty level has some ups and downs.

The Franz Kafka Game is an interesting attempt at representing Kafka's narrative style in an interactive medium. It's not always going to be fun to play, but it's a memorable experience which relies upon witty writing and clever design rather than technology or rewards systems.

It was really a pity for the limited duration of the game that could surely leave a bigger mark on the international market and beyond.

Unfortunately, the name of the protagonist remains one of the only truly obvious allusions to Kafka's works. Although the mysteries about the protagonist K. are pretty crazy, the certain something to really call it Kafkaesque is unfortunately somehow missing. The game doesn't really have a replay factor either, as the puzzles are clear the second time. But this is the case with most puzzles and puzzle games. Nevertheless, the game exudes a certain charm, through the confusing story and the short but entertaining dialogues.

Elegant and sophisticated, Franz Kafka: The videogame is a puzzle game dedicated to one of the greatest writers of all time. Made by only one developer, this game it's a passionate tribute to the literature of the 20th century.

The Franz Kafka Videogame is a unique adventure game experience, filled with unique art style and accessible puzzles. However, a baffling story that goes nowhere and a dreadfully short length make the game simply adequate rather than surreal.

The Franz Kafka Videogame is a surprising point and click which celebrates surrealism more than the author himself. Its delicious visuals and tricky puzzles will delight those who do not look for a real Kafka tribute. Unfortunately, its length and simplicity will forbid it to stay in memories for long.

The game encapsulates the frustration and confusion that I have often heard Kafka's work draws upon. Unfortunately, these things work about as well in a videogame as a dollop of jam does in a classic novel. I'd avoid unless you really like the author.
