Voodoo Vince: Remastered Reviews
This overhaul of Voodoo Vince is a great piece for new or returning players. You can easily jump into this classic and feel right at home. With all the HD remakes coming out, this is a must-have.
With Xbox coming under fire this year for its lack of exclusives, this lazy port of a boring platformer is not going to win anyone over.
While not terribly original, Voodoo Vince is so irreverent and fun to play that it's worth looking into for anybody with an Xbox One.
It remains unclear why Beep Industries decided to make a broken remaster of useless game, which few people remember. If you think of new gamers, a wide range of much better products is available to them on the market. In 2017 release of Voodoo Vince: Remastered is perceived as a bad joke. But if you still feel an urge to try out the game, we recommend to test only PC version.

Voodoo Vince Remastered is what some would call a "working man's 3D platformer." It isn't ground-breaking or breath-taking, but it delivers on all of its promises. Each stage offers something new, but it never detracts from the core elements. The amazing soundtrack can't be praised enough. Above all, this game has aged quite gracefully. Even somebody who has never played it before - such as this reviewer - will find it to be thoroughly impressive.
Voodoo Vince Remastered isn’t likely to be on the radar for platformer of the year, and those who once adored the ancient doll may wish to remember him in a more nostalgic tone rather than jumping back in for a re-run. That said, if it’s just a simple 3D platformer you’re looking for, there is enough here to occupy you, even if it is for just a few hours.
Voodoo Vince is a solid title and something parents and kids will enjoy. It has enough zaniness to keep your attention and, while I'm not a fan of collectibles myself, it doesn't go out of its way to make those a difficult chore. Admittedly, most non-parent adult fans may not be thrilled at the prospect of playing through a game without guns or explosions, but it's charming enough to get by on its own. The story is fun, Vince is a quirky little doll, and seeing a magical take on New Orleans makes for a very good time.
Voodoo Vince is nothing short of a 3D platforming gem and this Remastered version will hopefully get it the attention that it deserves.
Voodoo Vince: Remastered is a simple - yet entertaining - reedition from a game that went unnoticed during the era of the first Xbox. If you were one of the few lucky gamers that enjoyed this game back in 2003, then this remaster will bring you some joy and memories with its gameplay that remains the same albeit all these years. Just be aware that it also retain almost all of the flaws that its original counterpart suffered.

Although as a remastering it does not provide great news and the bosses and enemies are not as varied as they should be, Voodoo Vince: Remastered offers us a very fun adventure, brimming with humor and with varied and very well carried out puzzles and platforms.

Voodoo Vince Remastered remains the same and it's fun to say enough. Being a basic remastering, it still inherits the same flaws as the original but luckily there are not so many as to despise such a proposal. Microsoft's move allowing the assets to be released so that the parents of the original game can inherit it has been very smart, it was the best way to bring it to life without losing money on it and thus test the demand.

Voodoo Vince, while flawed, is a perfect defense for bringing obscure titles back from the dead.
Voodoo Vince Remastered does something important: It rescues a classic Xbox game that few people played (I had the system but still missed it) and brings it back for today's gamers. The enhanced graphics look good for an indie game, although some of the textures don't hold up, and the frame rate really chugs now and then.
Vince is a great character, and for the price this game delivers exactly what I wanted from it: a chance to play it again without digging out my original Xbox.
In some cases you need to aim so high up you can't even see the objective anymore.
Voodoo Vince Remastered is a great remaster, but the game lying underneath this fresh coat of paint simply doesn't hold up today. There's some fantastic art direction, an interesting locale and an even more intriguing premise. While it might be fun for a younger audience, Voodoo Vince doesn't capitalise on its intriguing premise enough to make itself genuinely essential. Voodoo Vince is an authentic remaster, retaining the feel and play of the original, for better or for worse. Unfortunately, some things are best left in the past.
Voodoo Vince is a clear example that the original Xbox had some fantastic games. The remaster is a great platformer for Xbox One and still feels fresh after all these years. Beep Games…start your sequel please!
While Voodoo Vince Remastered isn't a classic of the platforming genre, it's still very good.
Voodoo Vince Remastered is a burlap bonanza 13 years later, providing nostalgia for fans and a fresh, compelling experience for those invested in the 3D Platforming genre. Come to New Orleans for the alluring art style and stay for the clever gameplay and sonically pleasing score.
If you were already a fan of Vince, Voodoo Vince: Remastered will be a worthy testament to his cult classic legacy. Not only that, but the game holds up well enough that Vince is on track to woo a new generation of fans.
