The best parts of Get Even can be found in its gripping story and incredible soundtrack. Just don't go in expecting good gameplay.

Get Even doesn't have one strong suit from a gameplay perspective. The shooting is serviceable, the stealth is partially broken, and the investigations are almost too easy unless you're not very observant. At the same time, the story is absolutely bonkers enough to keep you glued until the end, and the presentation certainly pumps up your adrenaline even if there isn't a scare to be had. If you're the type of gamer who cares more about narrative than action, Get Even is worth checking out.

There is a slither of something within Get Even to enjoy. An intriguing story, narrative beats that hit hard, and a sound design that brings out the terror and peril of exploration. However, only those with the most patience will uncover these treats, as it all remains buried amongst basic puzzles, bad plotting, terrible combat, and awkward dialogue. What Get Even attempts to do is bring together several elements of game design to try and lift the walking simulator genre forward; however, it's a game that seems ashamed of its own inspiration.

at the end, I must say that Get Even is the combination of a good story and a horrible gameplay. Because this bundle always comes together and all the good things are not separated from the bad ones, I warn you to know what you are buying before you get your hands on Get Even. This game is a good example of great ideas and terrible execution and shows that not every idea that looks magical on the paper turns into a great game. You have to be ready to bear with the bad parts of the game to enjoy its beautiful story, So make your decision wisely.

If you love action movies or games which make the story not work as a background, Get Even is the game for you. Good story, detailed graphics and sound effects which any game should have. Don't waste your time and help Black to solve the mysteries behind one girl's kidnapping.

Get Even may not be the best looking game on the market but with a story as well written as it has and with an atmospheric sound design it is hard to remember that you're playing an indie game.

Spend enough time with Get Even and you're likely certain to see why it's so arresting. There's something unique and original and intriguing at the core of this game. But hey, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe this is just the Stockholm Syndrome talking.

Get Even works hard to tell a gripping story with themes of memory, mild horror, and psychological terror -- but there's something missing from Get Even at almost every turn. The kind of polish the game lacks is comprehensive, affecting the game's narrative, playability, level design, sound design, AI, and more, while still providing an enjoyable gaming experience. This is because Get Even is an intriguing psychological-thriller on clunky FPS rails -- a rich, detailed story muddied by its own interest in being something else.

It is a unique experience on its own. Looking out for clues and figuring them out, especially to move on to the next level feels like Sherlock. It has a lot of moments where you are confused, angry, sad or the amusement of saying out loud 'what the Fs going on.' The moment you find solve a puzzle – you just want find more. It's quite addicting. It has a great storytelling as you explore your memories and memories of others. Prepare freaky scenes, peculiar characters and an ambitious story.

A series of very interesting concepts which unfortunately do not come together well, while also attempting to achieve a photorealistic look that is never achieved in full. Nevertheless a touching story about connection, given the reduced price point, it's definitely something you should play if you have nothing else lined up in your backlog.

Playing on a minimalist gameplay and offering the worst experience as an FPS, Get Even nevertheless succeeds as a suspense story experience. With a great mood, clean soundtrack, and well narrated story, Get Even can be captivating even if filled with some clichés.

Get Even is a respectable first-person shooter, sure. But despite finishing the game eager to start a second playthrough to experience the story with new perspective, the lack of player choice was a considerable disappointment. I felt duped for hunting down every piece of evidence during my time with Cole Black, because it didn't influence the truth that ultimately emerged. This omission reduces Get Even from an imaginative game to a passable one that made me feel I was watching a thriller film more than playing a game.

With a minimalist gameplay and offering the worst experience ever seen in a FPS, Get Even nevertheless succeeds in making an impression. With a great atmosphere and a quality soundtrack, the game brings a sweet madness in our sessions. The narration and acting of the main characters fascinate us during this well-designed investigation, even if there are some clich's. With more open areas and a better technique, Get Even could have been one of the unforgettable games of our summer, but instead of that, even if it's not memorable, it will bring you a cheerful experience.

Get Even has some clunky mechanics, but has such a fantastic story that I wasn't that upset with them. Also it has a great soundtrack, some fun puzzles, and the CornerShot which is an awesome gun.

It's ambitious, imaginative and often intriguing and does its best to deliver something fresh and unique. Unfortunately, Get Even fails to nail down the fundamentals, resulting in a sadly disjointed, overwrought experience.

If you like story driven first person adventure games, then you can’t go wrong with this. It’s inventive, brilliantly told and designed, with great voice over work.

Get Even may be a bit polarizing depending on how you want to approach things in terms of gameplay and what you hope to get out of it, but it's advised that you see it all the way through, as the end result is a highly satisfying game with an engrossing story that delivers in creepy, emotional and thought-provoking moments that helps it stand out, especially with its more subtle presentation of morality in gaming.

Get Even has no shortage of cool ideas and ways to appeal to different play styles – but the parts don't quite come together as a coherent whole.
