It's brilliant to see WipEout back. It looked great back in the day, but thanks to the power of PS4 it now looks incredible, and captures with style the adrenaline-pumping action that we so fondly remember.
wipEout remains the most renowned of futuristic racers, delivering AAA-tier visuals and similar gameplay. Yet time will tell how much pedigree alone will suffice in the stead of innovation.
If you're a veteran airship racer then you'll have no qualms with this collection. It's decently priced, it looks bloody amazing, and it plays like a dream. If you're a newbie coming in fresh as a daisy, take the time to learn WipEout's intricacies and style before you resign it to the bin. What you're getting is effectively three great games at one great price. They're a little old, and at times their clunky, but it's a decent release no less.
WipEout Omega Collection is a fantastic update that runs as smooth as a supersonic hovercraft.

Wipeout Omega Collection is a requiem for the cult classic of PlayStation, familiar product, processed under the modern TVs and technology. The collection is meant to entertain bored fans of racing genre, and may be very relevant before big holiday blockbusters hit the market. And if you are an old fan of the series, you need to buy this game anyway.

Omega Collection is the definitive version of three games within a genre that, unfortunately, doesn't get a lot of new games. Wipeout is about controlling your ship in unbelievable speeds and, today, there are few games that can give you that thrill for speed which such excellency.

Weiterführend muss jedoch gesagt werden, dass sich die kleinen technischen Schwierigkeiten komplett auf den Online-Modus beschränken und das Spiel sonst einwandfrei läuft. Jedoch vermisste ich einen gewissen Charakter während meiner Zeit in den Kampagnen, denn obwohl die Events großteils kurzweiligen Spaß bieten und im Verlauf auch fordern, fehlte mir persönlich die Langzeitmotivation. Zwar erwarte ich bei so einem Spiel nicht unbedingt einen Story-Modus, aber ein wenig Hintergrund hätte auf jeden Fall geholfen. So fühlte sich das ganze etwas zu mechanisch und gefühlslos an. Generell ist die Omega Collection jedoch ein gelungenes Comeback von Wipeout. An dieser Stelle darf auch gehofft werden, dass das Spiel Sonys erwartete Verkaufszahlen erfüllt und wir womöglich in absehbarer Zukunft einen "echten" neuen Ableger der Wipeout-Serie bekommen.

Wipeout Omega Collection is the triumphant return of an icon. Its blistering speed, slick visuals, and thumping soundtrack are everything you'd ever want from a Wipeout game, even if – upgrades aside – it is everything you've already had in a Wipeout game.
Shiny and in 4K glory, this is the best WipEout has ever looked.
Wipeout Omega Collection is a great entry point if you've never played through a game in the franchise before. Wipeout 2048 is the true standout from the collection, with HD and Fury definitely showing a bit of their age. It's sad that nothing new was included in this package, as fans of the series have been eagerly awaiting what's coming next. However, those looking for a true Wipeout experience need look no further. While not as impressive as a brand new title would be using all of today's technology, this is still a great collection to own nonetheless.
WipEout Omega Collection is a turbo boost down memory lane for long time fans in which we get to play 3 of the best games in the series in their best possible light.
Once you taste that first sweet gold medal, it's hard to put down the controller knowing the next one is right around the corner.

This isn’t a game everybody would appreciate, especially those who aren’t racing game fans, even I myself, wasn’t really a fan of the franchise before but after spending hours of playing the game, I got to see the game’s imperfections but I was just happy that I got to play the franchise again and seeing all the slick visual and gameplay improvisions, with or without the 4k setup, it sure made my experience worthwhile.
There are a couple of nitpicks too many against Wipeout Omega Collection from being a flawless package, but the sheer hours of racing that you'll get from the game, how gorgeous it looks and how well the mechanics hold up earn it an easy and complete recommendation anyways.
Successful remaster collection with timeless gameplay and a great extent.
