Wrapping up, Under Pressure continues the Guardians' adventure quite nicely. It lacks a little of the thrilling action that peppered the first episode but compensates with a tighter storyline and good narrative. In short, this episode fulfils all the check marks of Telltale and is a fairly good time for Marvel fans.

Under Pressure does a good job of showing the cracks that are beginning to form in the Guardians' relationships, while ironically filling some of the cracks that were present in the first chapter's presentation. It still needs some work to make it something truly special, and it remains to be seen whether the consequences will be worth the yawn-inducing build-up. Luckily, things are looking up, and as the main theme suggests, Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy is still very much a Livin' Thing.

The second episode of Guardians of the Galaxy focuses more on character relationships in their pasts and continues to tell a great story. However, some technical glitches along with below par QTE scenes prevent it from becoming a superb title.

I am continuously impressed by the personal emotional depths TellTale is willing to dive into with each character. I would argue that this is Rocket’s episode more than anyone’s. He gets a lengthy flashback sequence, which invested me as far into his character as two films managed to do, if not more. Drax and Gamora also show the first seeds of major character arcs that I’m hopeful to see in future episodes.

Although I do appreciate that we get more airtime with the Guardians and experience their relationship with each other firsthand, I just felt I was being deprived of the action. I wanted more space fights, I wanted more action sequences. I wanted to see all of the Guardians in action. I wanted to see the chain of command jumping off from one Guardian to another. I didn't really get to experience that here. It was too far and few in between. The game needs to step it up and I hope that they can improve next episode.

The second episode of the Guardians of the Galaxy season has its ups and downs. Despite delivering some interesting moments to the development of his characters (especially Rocket Racoon), the episode highlights some of the series' biggest problems: the lack of polishment in the graphics and meaningful game choices.

"Under Pressure" redeems one character, but raises questions about whether some of the series' problems are too well ingrained to be fixed in further episodes.

Under Pressure continues most of the problems with Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series. It's interesting, but not interesting enough. It's funny, but not funny enough. It has everything to make a good Telltale series, but not enough of it. I'm honestly starting to worry at this point.

Under Pressure chooses the way of introspection and shows some Guardians' soul to the player, but the main storyline is pratically freezed and there are way too much QTEs to deal with.

Poignant character moments and some impressive use of pop music make Under Pressure a better episode than Tangled Up In Blue, but still nowhere near the lofty heights that we know Telltale is capable of. There's enough good work here to indicate that by the time the series is over it'll have given us reasons to care about the cast and what they're up to, but if you're on the fence about whether or not to pick up the season pass, you're probably best waiting a little longer to make that decision. The series has potential, but whether it'll ever manage to escape the shadow of the movies it is so desperately trying to recreate remains to be seen.

Humour and pacing is sacrificed for a delve into Rocket's past, but even that cannot sustain a lacklustre storyline.

Sadly, Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy: The Telltale Series Ep 2 “Under Pressure” was more disappointing than its predecessor. Although Telltale improved on some of the negative factors of the first game, they dropped the ball or did not improve in other areas.

My big problem with Telltale's take on Guardians of the Galaxy is that it just hasn't grabbed me like the other Telltalle series.

The second episode of Guardians of the Galaxy does a fair job of setting the stage for future installments. If you can get over the consistency errors and hammy writing, you've got the potential for a b-movie blockbuster full of action, drama, and blue-skinned cyborgs.

The same problems as the first episode return. Outside of Rocket's flashback and some interactions with Nebula, the story fails to really grip the audience. The usual Telltale problems are once again in attendance, too, with some terrible performance and too many easy choices to make. That being said, the glimpse into Rocket's history is fantastic, and for those who have enjoyed the films thus far and want to dip their toe into the comics, this is seeming a fitting way to do so.

If Under Pressure was meant to serve as a platform to build up the third episode, then it surely succeeded at that.

It's still not clear what Telltale and Guardians of Galaxy are trying to achieve but from what we have experienced so far, there is no hope for the future of this game.

There are still plenty of reasons to tune in to Telltale's Guardians, but this is a B-side rather than a hit single.

While it’s still one of the more outright comedies in the Telltale oeuvre, Guardians’ story is one of grief and loss and regret.
