While the changes across the board make for a better game than last year, there are still cracks that need cementing, not papering over. Evolution, not revolution this year for FIFA, then, but still a fine game fit to burst with things to do.

FIFA 18 is simply magnificent. Streets ahead of what came before, and continuing its dominance over its rivals, EA has done a superb job. With huge improvements across the board, this is the game FIFA fans have waited five years for. While the offline offering may continue to lack the depth of NBA 2K18, but the continued improvements each year have culminated in a brilliant game this year.

By accentuating its prior positives and offering real and tangible improvements to gameplay, FIFA 18 excels and is slightly better than last year's solid entry.

Bolstered by a graphics engine that brings the on-pitch action to life with more realistic player animations, uncanny likenesses, improved weather effects and impressive attention-to-detail across its various stadiums, FIFA fans are in for a real treat this year.

FIFA 18 may take a few steps back in the gameplay department but the well-written, multi-layered story that deals with Alex's life on and off the pitch is one worth experiencing.

The game provided a good improvement on the gameplay style and offers more realism, but it doesn't match the slowdown with development for certain modes specially Career mode that should be giving the same caring the same as Ultimate Team, the big improvement this time with the TV presentation and the atmosphere in the stadium and these are the most points that The development team should be praised besides overall graphics improvements.

FIFA 18 marches on the same path as its predecessors, offering the same content with minor improvements such as new gameplay modes, a faster pace, more varied offensive tactics, better audio and graphic quality, as well as the ability to obtain valuable rewards while playing solo in FUT for the first time. On the other hand, there is no noticeable difference in Pro Clubs or Career Mode, the goalie performance is unpredictable, and it's too difficult to fully control the defensive line.

The improvements are slight, but this is still the best FIFA has been in several years – in terms of gameplay as well as just presentation.

Like Spurs, FIFA 18 plays a fantastic game of football. But like Spurs, FIFA 18 probably won't win any trophies.

FIFA 18 is the best FIFA game in years. There are some obvious flaws — some of which are more frustrating than others — but as a complete package, the series is making progress, once again.

FIFA 18 is really fun to play, the smoothness of creating chances, dribbling and the new realistic animations makes it more fun than ever before. And I like how EA made improvement almost in every mode in the game.  The only issue is that with all the new additions to the attacking game style, it is harder to defend now, and sometimes players just do not respond to your actions which is frustrating. But still even with that, the game is so much fun to play for football fans and people who just want to play it.

FIFA 18 is an incredible football game that has something to offer every gamer. There's a very human and relatable story to be found in Alex Hunter's latest chapter, and those who just want polished gameplay will find just that in its many different modes. In addition, anyone who is a fan of the beautiful game will want to check out this year's installment.

FIFA 18 is still a spectacular rendition of "the beautiful game", but also a step back in the series.

FIFA continues to show no signs of slowing down its dominance, as this year's title further enhances the consistently enjoyable gameplay thanks to improvements to the on-field animations and varied, but realistic presentation.

FIFA 18 is by no means a perfect game, the lack of customization and emotionless animations from players puts the game back a few steps, but this is not a bad game. Whether you have been on a FIFA hiatus or you are a long-time veteran, you should come back to this series — if only for the single-player content.

Fifa 18 is just as good as expected. The physics is better than last year, and so are the visuals. A few weird bugs a side; Fifa 18 is a great game that will keep you busy until Fifa 19.

Ultimately, FIFA 18 introduces enough new ideas to suggest it's not sitting on the laurels of its success. However, it's a simplified experience, one that fails to embrace the complexity of football at the highest level.
