While MSH2 does not innovate, it does, other than some glitching and sketchy design decisions, provide another fun LEGO romp that's best enjoyed in local co-op.

LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 is a game that will consume your hours, definitely. The world is huge, the roster is huge, and there’s so much to explore that can’t be done in just under 24 hours. This is for new and longtime fans who have been engrossed with the entire Marvel world, plus those with love for action-adventure games with a dash of LEGO humor.

Like the first, Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 is a really fun title with a large open world to explore and tons of great content to play through at your own pace. There's still issues with the core gameplay, but it's hard not to have fun with the latest in the LEGO franchise.

While the villain ends up being pretty forgettable, Chronopolis gives you an amazing playground as cities and universes collide. Inhumans alongside 2099 Spidey? and Wild West Captain America? Check!

Playing LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2 is a constant battle between being pulled in by TT Games' charm and being pushed away by the repetitive gameplay. For every excellent moment there are seemingly multiple forgettable ones, but if you can stomach the lows of the story, then there are some fun times to be had. Still, this middling effort shows that the LEGO series is in need of some revitalising changes.

One of the best Lego games of the entire series, with a dizzying array of bizarre characters and some genuinely compelling gameplay for younger players.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is a game made for fans of Marvel and of their latest films and tv shows. It has a good and funy history, but it's repetitive game and doesn't innovate. The LEGO formula needs to be renewed urgently.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 has good graphics and a lot of Marvel characters to unlock, but it's also a too slowly paced game with some issues in its level design.

The latest marriage of LEGO and Marvel is a mixed but promising step-up. Its star-studded story, inventive hub-world and new presentation style all add much-needed freshness to a stale format. However, technical issues, clumsy controls and overwhelming déjà vu remain. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 still has the power to entertain, but while the game's chronological theme has allowed the brand to stride confidently into the future, its core mechanics remain rooted firmly in the past.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 doesn't deviate much from the established LEGO template, but its wide variety of settings, heroes, and abilities make it constantly fun to play, especially in co-op. The combat is still quite simple and it's sometimes difficult to tell what you should do next, but the story is lighthearted and fun enough that mild annoyances like these fade into the background.

It is known how much I adore LEGO games, but these last two have been glitch-filled messes. I can't recommend this one at all, even to those who loved the first one, until TT Games puts out a hefty patch to resolve these glitches. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 isn't unplayable by any stretch, but it's a downright frustrating adventure with these game-breaking issues. Ye have been warned.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 is a fantastic Lego game. A fun narrative, a list of well-known characters a mile long, and further refinement on the series' classic gameplay mark this out as the best Lego game yet. Admittedly, it's still another game in a well-trodden franchise, and one which doesn't reinvent the (plastic) wheel, but few brands can claim the consistent quality on show here.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 changes a bit the original LEGO Games' formula with more action than we used to play, but even with that this games acomplishes almost all its goals. Fun, long and a great homage to Marvel's comic book era.

It's a lot of fun, and you're never stuck for something to do. It's also the perfect game to play with your friends and family, and the sheer amount of characters means there's someone for everyone.

Bigger, bolder and brighter than ever, the LEGO formula remains unchanged in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2. While evolution isn't a building block for this latest entry, fan service, gorgeous visuals and an absurd amount of content certainly is.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 contains a diverse cast of thoughtfully created superheroes and supervillains, a fun-filled hub with many unique and interesting sites to explore, and a free-flowing campaign not bound by a movie script. The lacking Fox franchises don't hamper the experience. What does, however, are the numerous glitches, many of which stunt the progression of the game, and the disjointed voice and sound editing work. The technical bugs will undoubtedly be fixed and, when accomplished, this will be an epic, fun, and laughter filled way to enjoy the wonderful mashing together of Lego and Marvel.

Apart from a small UI overhaul, a fragmented hub, and a batch of new and redesigned characters, this is more Lego, more Marvel, and more collecting. For better or worse.
