Worth picking up if you're one of the remaining hardcore Diablo 3 fans, but it's a little pricey for what you get.

Diablo 3's Rise of the Necromancer pack is a worthy purchase for all kinds of players but it might not suit those wanting tons of new activities, areas and whatnot to explore. Still, the level of polish and sheer fun of the Necromancer makes a strong argument for purchasing.

The game makes the Necromancer a fun class to use at high levels of difficulty and perhaps in hardcore mode, where you have to constantly focus on the right alternation of skills to avoid risking gambling in the game- over.

The Star of Diablo II is coming back in Diablo III. Still fun, still cool to play, even if the price of this DLC may slow down your enthousiam.

Rise of the Necromancer brings in what could be the games most entertaining class yet. Hugely adaptable with the ability to both summon minions and be active in the battle, the Necromancer has an excellent duality. However, this new class pack is very expensive for what it offers. Wether it's worth it or now will be very much down to how much you like Diablo III.

The real star of the show for Diablo III in 2017 is patch 2.6.0.  The Necromancer is an expensive luxury for those that really want to have everything that the game offers.

The Rise of the Necromancer DLC offers a great new character class for Diablo III--but is it enough to keep the five-year-old game afloat?

It's bittersweet to get the culmination of good role design in a pricey DLC. I'm the kind of person who maxed out every single character in two weeks of Diablo III's launch, then moved into Inferno and Hardcore runs -- also known as the target audience for a character drop. Every time I boot up D3, whether it's for a new season or a new group of friends, I have the option to level up a new Necromancer, and that's going to be invaluable down the line for me. But for everyone else who only dabbles in dungeon crawling, wait for a sale.

The Necromancer is a great character, and a wholly exciting class for those who’ve been waiting 6 years for it to come out. I wish it was priced a bit more modestly, but given the fun I’ve had playing this character, I can soon seeing this long forgotten with the countless hours to be played going forward. Diablo III: Rise of the Necromancer brings back a classic class to Diablo III, but does so at a high expense, but not at the cost of being an excellent character to start playing.

The Necromancer is a welcome addition to Diablo III. It is a well done class and it is clearly nostalgic. Besides, it is also a reason to go back and play to collect loot and more loot. The biggest problem is the price: 15 dollars for one class is too expansive.

Rise of the Necromancer doesn't bring an abundance of new content, but the new class is so good, you probably won't even care.

The Necromancer adds mechanical depth to a game which has hidden the obvious for quite some years. It's an incredible class that's fun to play but extremely overpowered at the moment.

Think you're tired of Diablo III? Rise of the Necromancer will soon change that. The revamped corpse-raiser is a blast to play and a smashing way to revitalise both the campaign and Adventure Mode. Newcomers to Diablo 3 won't find it so essential when there's so much content and so many classes to get stuck into already, but this is one more good reason to get into Blizzard's epic, cementing its status as an all-time-great action RPG.

Diablo III is an amazing RPG to begin with, and I think that the Necromancer adds some enjoyment out of it all. Hardcore players of Diablo III and those looking for a reason to go back to New Tristram should most certainly pick this DLC up. For the casual player, maybe wait for a price drop a bit. Even then, just know, you're getting a new class and that's about it. Granted, that class is just as fun to play as the rest of them.

I would've liked to have seen a little more story content, even if it was just some additional lore, but that's a personal gripe. Most players will probably be too busy relishing the bloody carnage the Necromancer can bring, which is considerable. This is a great addition to Diablo III, one I highly recommend to fans of all of Diablo's existing classes.

The Necromancer has returned with a well-composed concoction of nostalgic skills and modern design. It's a flashy addition to an already strong roster of classes in Diablo 3 that, while held back by two minor missteps, deserves the attention of Diablo veterans and new players alike.

Fans of Diablo 2's will undoubtedly be pleased with Diablo 3's version of the fan-favorite Necromancer class. The classic class returns with a horde of undead.

Despite the price, Diablo III: Rise of the Necromancer is a must have for anyone that loves the series, it's a shame it took so long to be added to the game.

With a few new zones and bounties, there's more to tackle beyond the new class and Challenge Rift. With luck, and the upcoming Season 11, there's plenty of reasons to come back to Diablo III. The Necromancer is a bit of a work in progress currently, but it's a fantastic addition that fits nicely into the pantheon of fighters and casters.
