There is a lot of fun to be had with Sine Mora EX. It’s a solid, hard as nails, well crafted bullet fuelled shooter, with a lot to do and a whole bunch of different modes to try out.

Difficulty aside, Sine Mora EX is a unique and fun experience that sits memorable amongst the plethora of cookie cutter shmups. More importantly, it's just a genuinely good game in its own right. If you didn't play it in 2012, you should definitely play it now.

A solid extended version of a very good shooter in which you can complete levels manipulating time.

Sine Mora EX is a revamped version of the original shoot 'em up developed by Digital Reality and Grasshopper Manufacture, which debuts on current-gen consoles after its original launch on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Despite the good additions to the original formula, the game lacks of an online coop mode and its longevity is not enough if compared to similar and much modern games.

Sine Mora EX represents the perfect chance to finally play the title for people who haven't yet done so, thanks to some new feature, a good graphic optimization and the co-op story mode.

As far as shoot 'em up bullet hell games go, Sine Mora EX is a pretty strong entry. The audio is lacking, but the video really does make up for it thanks to impeccable designs and art direction. This is a pretty hard game, but it is also a short one. However, the various modes and challenges even out the experience to keep the adrenaline junkies coming back for more. Just don't bother trying to get invested in the story; come for the pulse-pounding scrolling action.

Sine Mora EX is a lot of fun, with the occasional eye roll-inducing moment. Perhaps it's the weird story, or the irritating environmental hazards, but something is ever so slightly off here. As a whole, though, this is one of the best shooters on the market. Everyone should pick it up, unless, of course, you're not "one-eyed-bison-with-no-legs-flying-a-killing-machine" enough for it.

Sine Mora EX is still a strong shmup, and standout title in the genre. It does new and exciting things, and is now released on platforms that handle this game more elegantly and still has a great presentation. It has a few minor bugs and those who’ve already played the game won’t get much out of the new re-release, but it absolutely worth playing even if you’re not a fan of bullet hell style games. Sine Mora EX remains one of my favorite shmups with its complex story and deep gameplay and robust modes.

Tough, expansive, and boasting a surprisingly mature narrative, Sine Mora EX is a remaster done right. Offering native 4K visuals – if you've got the right kit – tons of content and rock-solid gameplay, side-scrolling shooters simply don't get much better than this.

An old school shoot'em up that only add a few changes to its original formula. It may not be innovative, but it's still fun.

Sine Mora is everything you would expect from a 2D shooter. The time manipulation mechanics does add another layer of strategy and the giant bosses are exciting. It's a difficult game and the story is confusing but Sine Mora the challenging gameplay kept me hooked.

Sine Mora's doctrine of sincerity, authority, and respect aligns neatly with shoot 'em up's interest in unconscious obliteration and strategic composure. EX brings welcomed extensions to Sine Mora, but a clean transfer to modern hardware is a prudent enough motive to justify a re-release. The oldest genre in gaming always has something new to learn.
