Hello Neighbor Reviews
I was so desperate for Hello Neighbor to end that I regularly sought out ways to try and bypass the intended game. There could be something buried deep down, but the general execution of this steal-horror blend holds it back drastically. Even the quaint colourful world is hampered by the general sluggish feel and poor controls.
Hello Neighbor tries to offer a unique stealth horror experience unlike any other, and in my opinion, does it well. There are issues such as the difficulty of the puzzles and the physics engine but overall a great game worth your time. I’d recommend it even if you’re not a fan of horror games.
Ultimately, the game is a mish-mash of concepts and half-cooked ideas that are never fully developed, wrapped up in a cutesy aesthetic that is at odds with its (at times) dark and disturbing themes. This is one to avoid.
Hello Neighbor is a frustrating slog through a gauntlet of illogical puzzles that rely on persistence and thoroughness far more than cleverness, observation, or ingenuity. The stealth is hit-or-miss, alternating between feeling too punishing and borderline irrelevant from act to act. Some clever level design and a clear talent for making me feel creeped out eased the frustration, but don't present enough of a reason for me to recommend anyone put themselves through 15-20 hours of this. I wish I'd just stayed on my own side of the fence.
On the surface Hello Neighbor seems promising, but beneath that veneer is a game that doesn't work half the time – and is dull when it does
A buggy, uninjoyable mess of a game, trying and failing to emulate better titles
An ambitious and mysterious puzzler that's ultimately as frustrating as it is fascinating.
Hello Neighbor is a stealth game for youtubers. It’s really annoying and obviously unfinished and as such makes a great theme for a funny video. During gameplay I had three distinct feelings: boredom, discomfort and frustration. And sometimes anger when some flaws looked intentional. Avoid!

Puzzles and stealth are the main attractions of this peculiar videogame by the russian Dynamic Pixels. A title fill with good intentions but full of bad results

Hello Neighbor has some good ideas, a dark story which should have been developed further and a number of issues that make it a horrible time the further you progress.
Hello Neighbor starts off strong, with a strange mystery and interesting place to explore. As you progress through the game's act it quickly loses momentum eventually ending with a whimper instead of the game many were hoping for since the early alphas.
I honestly didn't hate Hello Neighbor, but an interesting setup and good intentions don't make up for sloppy design, unwieldy controls, AI that isn't half as smart as advertised, and myriad of other issues. A very specific type of player who loves finding secrets and proposing fan theories may be able to overlook Hello Neighbor's problems, but most will want to bury the game in the backyard.
While the controls are still iffy, this stealth survival game has seen the world and puzzles polished to a very satisfying shine!
