While I liked a couple of the ideas behind Dead Alliance, they're not capitalised on to create something truly interesting. What we're left with is a painfully generic, often broken online shooter that's begging to be put in the ground, preferably under ten feet of quick-set cement.

Dead Alliance has an interesting proposal but fails from the very beginning: it's not even funny or enjoyable after a couple of rounds. Extremely poor graphics and a very simple one player a mode with bots and survival.

The game is in desperate need of some tender loving care, its shoddy gameplay and connection woes take away almost everything that's unique and actually entertaining about it. From social media comments I see that the developers are looking for ongoing feedback to improve the game and maybe, just maybe, it will flourish. With some amazing concepts and a clever strategic approach to the first-person shooter genre, Dead Alliance had me hooked – it's just a shame that the current final product is a broken mess that should stay dead.

Players can simply ignore the walking dead and focus on killing as many foes as possible, but that strategy is a sure way to lose a game.

With the original premise of being able to use the hordes of zombies in your favor to massacre on the enemy, comes Dead Alliance. A competitive shooter in which you can test your reflexes and ability as long as you can overlook their technical and visual impairments.

For all of its promise, Dead Alliance falls frustratingly short of its full potential.

A cool concept can’t save Dead Alliance from being dead on arrival

If you're a keen online gamer and haven't grown tired of the zombie epidemic as of yet, Dead Alliance may be worth a shot. Just try to forgive its less than stellar presentation. Oh, and forget about the single player add-on; it's really not worth your time or money.

You'll want to steer clear of Dead Alliance, especially at its ridiculous $40 price tag. There is a decent game buried here, but digging through the bugs, shallow gameplay and underwhelming mechanics is just not worth it. If you simply love FPS and are quite fond of the idea of weaponized zombies, at least wait until a big price reduction, a number of major patches, or give it a rental.

Dead Alliance has an great concept, and grows on you as you play it. If you do not mind the aged graphics, the game plays well. Hiccups aside, it's worth a try!

Even if we go back to 10 years ago, Dead Alliance still wouldn't meet gaming standards! The title is a symbol of true disaster in which there is no sign of respect to its audience; in other words, its creators has released a fiasco full of flaws. You can do yourself a favor by not experiencing the game at all!

This game is essentially just trash at this point, it could be improved if they get the performance going properly though at launch I'm curious why this was allowed to be released in the state it is.

I was hoping to be blown away by Dead Alliance, but a dwindling player base, poor gameplay, terrible bugs and a lack of content make this just another disappointment within a once great genre.

Frustrating is definitely the word that describes Dead Alliance the most. Great ideas that just weren't implemented correctly, with the core game itself being dull and uninspired. It screams of the developers just having little experience and wanted too many features at once. There is potential here, but it would require a lot of work to overhaul the game and turn it into something truly unique in terms of zombie games and multiplayer shooters.
