Forza Horizon 2 Reviews
A meticulously crafted, marvelous-looking and superbly designed racer that dishes up an absolute feast of automotive madness and mayhem. Sheer brilliance through and through.
A sequel that does what it set out to do, raise the bar.
This is about as good as open-world driving gets.
A near-perfect arcade racer, with gorgeous graphics, beautiful scenery and some of the best on-road and off-road driving around. With Forza 5's guts still inside it, you can make Horizon 2 as arcade-easy or demanding as you choose, and throughout the game shows a level of flair and invention that leaves its would-be rivals choking dust. It might not be the best racing game we'll see this year, but it sets a fearsomely high benchmark for others to beat.
All in all, Forza Horizon 2 is the exclusive best of the new generation, in a nutshell. A really solid driving title that will please fans of the most demanding genre and, at the same time, a speed title that will delight those who only want to enjoy the speed a few minutes a day.

Forza Horizon 2 gives unparalleled racing realism on the XBox One
Every element in Forza Horizon 2 adds up to an exceptional experience. The story isn't over the top so as to get in the way of racing, driving feels as good as it ever did in Forza Motorsport, there's a ton of things to do, and the game looks absolutely beautiful -- especially the long-awaited dynamic weather system. Forza Horizon 2 is a must-have on the Xbox One.
This feels less like a review and more like a love letter to Forza Horizon 2. This game was an absolute joy to review, and I'll play it long after this article goes live. Like opening the hood on a Ferrari, Forza Horizon 2 is filled from fender to fender with absolute awesome.
Forza Horizon 2 is just about everything you would expect from an already superb game upgraded and moved to a stronger platform. While it's disappointing that higher end driving rigs still can't be used, the quality of the game and the Xbox One's controller ease the pain just a bit. This one is well worth the 100+ hours it will take to work your way through.
An absolute must-own.
The first big open world racer comes to the new gen console with the Xbox exclusive Forza Horizon 2. I'll be blunt, Ubisoft's The Crew and PS4' Driveclub will have one hell of a job taking the podium from Forza Horizon 2
Forza Horizon 2 is perfect in many areas. Visually, there is nothing to complain about, as it is not with the handling of the cars. The eye for detail is fantastic and the elaboration of additions such as Drivatars and music are also very well worked out. This added to the varied and spectacular modes, do ensure that minor negatives like the hitches and lack of customization are in the way of failure. Forza Horizon 2 is the best Forza ever!

It's a racer informed by many others but, when it comes to open-world racing games, Forza Horizon 2 is best-in-class.
It's going to be a busy season for racing games, with sim hopeful Project Cars, ambitious online "CarPG" The Crew and the social score-attack of DriveClub all jostling for attention. Horizon 2 sets an intimidatingly high bar for those games to meet on every front, but in one aspect it seems unbeatable. I can't imagine any of them are going to feel this happy.
Forza Horizon 2 may be vanilla when compared to other open-world racers, but if so, it's one of the most well-produced vanillas ever made. While it could be bolstered by having more skill-based challenges and any kind of avatar customization, it impresses with technical brilliance, robust online integration, and graphical splendor.
Forza Horizon 2 is the exclusive that racing game enthusiasts cannot miss for any reason.

It's a racing game learned from many other racing games, but when it comes to open world racing games, Forza Horizon 2 is the best of its kind.

Racing game fans are going to be spoilt for choice in the next few months. The number of new racers and even new IPs is great for fans of the genre, but I will be amazed if any of them live up to the experience on offer in Forza Horizon 2. Its breathtaking take on the world of cars is a petrol head's wet dream.
I'm not a huge car guy, but Forza Horizon 2 makes me realize that I am someone who loves driving. It combines all the best elements of car culture and empowers players to take and leave the things they enjoy. For example, it has deep tuning options for you mechanics. You can adjust the level of air in your tires if you want. And if you don't, then don't even think about it.
There's no great revolution here and it occasionally lacks for visual variety and challenge, but Horizon 2 earns its stripes with a breezy determination to simply show you a ruddy good time.
