Racers of all kinds will have fun playing the game — to an extent. If you fit into that target audience, then you might want to give it a try and judge its standing for yourself, but for those looking for a strange and different experience, I'd suggest waiting to see if the immersion is improved in next year's edition.

WRC 7 proved to be not a bad rally simulator, which is worth trying if you already played quite enough of DiRT Rally and DiRT 4, but you want more. Of course, if you do not mind the faded soundtrack and simple graphics. If you played WRC 6, there's nothing essentially new in WRC7.

WRC 7 doesn't unseat Codemasters' Dirt 4 as this year's premier rally game, but it definitely continues Kylotonn's upward trajectory in the genre.

A thoroughly competent but somewhat clinical racer that's fully licensed and looks the part.

WRC 7 is, much like its predecessor, a step in the right direction but is still just falling short of the mark when compared to others in its class, such as DIRT 4 and Project CARS 2.

All in all, the game is fun and addictive, if you're into racing but are looking for a difference then WRC is definitely one to try. It's all the fun of racing, with a little less pressure compared to being thrown onto a track with 10+ other guys to beat, dodging cars and racing for immediate on-track position, instead it's you more or less racing the clock with the challenge of doing the best time. It's probably not worth the price tag, the cheapest being around the $89 mark, so best to wait it out for it to come down a bit but if you're a racing fan looking for a bit of difference and challenge it's definitely worth looking into.

The game does have many minor issues that may steer away users. In particular, the lack of a more engaging career mode and the arcade style of driving (including unrealistic crashes and little differentiation between cars) are a bit disappointing. Especially, considering those were primary complaints in previous chapters of the franchise. However, if you're simply looking for a couch-driving, not overly demanding racing game, then you may find yourself spending some good time with World Rally Championship 7.

WRC 7 has brought us a new game for the saga that is very recommendable if you love racing games, it is a very known brand that offers the possibility to live each year’s championship, making it a game that recycles itself by adding the new stages, cars, teams and features that comes up every year, but that is what happens with sports games; they try to make it as real as posible so that’s why they tend to stick to what happens in the actual season. In my opinion they could try to fix the graphics and physics just a bit because, for example the behaviour of the car, when getting out of the track or having collisions, is not very good.

if you want a more polished and forgiving game then opt for DiRT 4, but if you’re a big rally fan who is looking for a challenge then WRC 7 is the game for you. The wonderful handling, great stages and awesome physics all add up to something that feels excellent to play.

Overall WRC 7 is an enjoyable, rewarding title, with a curve that will suit rally enthusiasts looking for a simulation, it is not as simulated as Project Cars 2, but its does try. It will not take newcomers by the hand, but it will guide you and teach you to drive from the very low tiers and as you improve, so does your standings. For experienced drivers, you will be tested, oh yes you will be, so be prepared.

WRC 7 faithfully recreates a rally racing experience. The cars in the game almost directly match their real life counterparts. The locations are beautiful and the driving is challenging and fun. Some graphical hiccups and glitches held this one back.

WRC7 is entertaining but imperfect! It’s an enjoyable game due to its great handling and gameplay while you are behind the wheel. In addition, great number of tracks, various weather and geographical conditions such as forests, mountains, deserts and snowy lands are all other good features of the game. However, limited number of cars and unpleasant career mode prevent WRC7 from being a flawless title.

WRC 7 tries to transmit the essence of the rally without much success. A medium graphic level and a rough driving does not manage to stand out above other titles of the genre. However, the game offers fast and easy fun. Ideal for anyone who wants to explore this type of competition for the first time.

It's fun for a quick bash sure, but for similar expenditure you could be playing Forza 7, Project Cars 2, or the literally billions of other racing games on the market.

WRC 7 isn't perhaps the most exciting racing game out there, but while it lacks some of the drama of Codemasters' offerings, this is still a well put together and technically sound rally game. It's also another positive step forwards for the series, which shows that there is absolutely the potential there to turn in something special.
