Transcripted is an original release that crosses over two other great releases: Geometry Wars and Zuma (which is a game I played A. LOT!), and it works in the end! We liked the underlying story, and navigating in the different environments. For the asking price of $8, this is a release you should keep under your radar!

Transcripted is exactly the kind of new and interesting concept that services like the eShop are built for, doing a very good job of getting the most out of that concept. This fusion of two very played-out genres creates an experience that's far more engaging than you would think it should be, and adds another strong title to the Switch eShop.

Overall Transcripted is a very fun and highly addictive game that does a great job at mixing two different gameplay mechanics into a good looking and entertaining release. This one does not include a Platinum trophy, which is a bummer, but it's something that shouldn't get in the way of your enjoyment.

Transcripted successfully blends two compelling genres together to create an experience like no other. It's somewhat held back by a rather lacklustre narrative, but the gameplay will keep you hooked for hours.

Transcripted is a smart combination of twin stick shooter with a match-3 puzzle. The result is quite ingenious and fun, in addition to giving more importance to the game and its 25 levels, a story has been developed that makes the game more interesting. The difficulty does not have an equitable progression, and we must repeat levels to get experience, but despite this, the game is still quite addictive.

Transcripted is a fun game with some nice ideas, but it'd be far more at home on a tablet or handheld without all the boring dialogue.

Transcripted is one of the few basic puzzle games that manages to shake up its model and give the player a more unique experience. It's not perfect but, all in all, Transcripted's gameplay, visuals and soundtrack do their job well in delivering a simple but fun experience on the Switch eShop.

Transcripted can get very tough, even on the medium difficulty, but the more casual settings can provide well for those who doesn’t want to be punished. With 25 levels, 10 online score challenges, and medals to earn on each level, it is pretty good value for its low price point. Just don’t go in expecting it to be a particularly exciting shooter.

Transcripted features an interesting concept that puts it in a unique position within the Nintendo Switch catalogue. Its merger of shoot'em up with a puzzle game is a successful one, even if it can start getting repetitive after a while and its difficulty can feel a bit too much but this doesn't diminish its assets, not to mention that those looking for some plot will also find something to follow here.
