L.A. Noire isn’t quite an action blockbuster, but more of a serialised crime caper. The slow approach and moments of intrigue are welcome, and ends on an incredibly memorable note. DLC fills out the experience for Phelps fans.

L.A. Noire is a unique game that offers an innovative technology, therefore being a must for any gamer. Its mission variety is really good, but some bugs are annoying in the open world.

L.A. Noire was a great game back in 2011 and the remaster has kept things faithfully the same. There have been graphical and structural changes which really help bring the game up to modern standards without ruining the look and feel of the overall game. If you love games where you can spend time investigating crimes and re-enacting the life of a police officer then this game would be perfect for you.

While Team Bondi may be no more, L.A. Noire still lives on with this remastered version. It may not get the 4K support that is available on Xbox One X and PS4 Pro, the Nintendo Switch version brings the portability factor while still looking very good itself. For those that missed out on the original release, you should definitely look into investigating L.A. Noire on the Nintendo Switch.

On the whole, any concerns that the Switch would get a watered down or poor port of L.A. Noire are well and truly quashed. Yes the game isn’t perfect and it still has a few problems that haven’t been entirely addressed such as slightly clunky controls during the more tightly spaced areas, the gunplay and the not so overly specific dialogue system, but for a six-year-old game it still holds up extremely well and as mentioned earlier, some aspects have yet to be bettered. If you have never played the game before then this is a great way to experience it.

If you are someone that never played L.A. Noire back in 2011, then you shouldn't miss this remastered version of Rockstar Games' detective storytelling adventure. With the choice to play it on the go with fun Nintendo Switch gameplay mechanics, or see it with upgraded textures and up to 4K resolutions on Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro, it would be a shame for any player to miss this iconic game... Now can we please have a remastered Bully, pretty please?

L.A. Noire is a title to be recommended, which can not really be criticized for what it is but in its technical accomplishment. Many parts have not been remastered. A game that must be played at least once in a lifetime, as it is a classic that still today shows peaks hardly achieved by other games.

L.A. Noire is still a fascinating experience to go through even though over half a decade has passed. While it might not be the remaster to bring back returning players, it is absolutely worth it for people who never got a chance to experience it the first time.

Despite its age L.A. Noire is still a great game which has to be played by fans of the crime genre. MotionScan still looks as good as back then and the Nintendo Switch version with its newly added Touch Controls stands out as the best and most interesting version for me.

L.A. Noire remains a fully unique experience, and a game that deserves its second round.

L.A. Noire is a game that feels better on this current generation of consoles over the last. The ability to replay cases gives plenty of reasons to get perfect ratings on each one. The investigations are deep, and rewarding as you solve each one. L.A. Noire has been given a second chance, and while flawed it is like nothing else out there today. Whether you are returning to 1940s Los Angeles, or starting new, L.A. Noire being remastered for PS4, Xbox One, and Switch is worth every bit of the experience, like a modern day adventure game.

L.A. Noire is a really great experience that allows you to try the detective work in the post-war Los Angeles. If you haven't played it yet, don't hesitate.

In the end, L.A. Noire holds up. It's a little odd to play as an open world game because of it's strong focus on story, but the immersion is unreal.

There are so many big games these days, it's easy to forget the details of one even as recently as last gen, and L.A. Noire does a fantastic job in reminding just how good it is. The story is engaging, the investigations are fun, the world is deep and immersive, and the interrogations are truly unique. Even with the slight performance woes, the game is very impressive on Switch, especially in handheld mode. This, along with titles like Skyrim and DOOM, sets a promising precedent, and open the door to many other games well deserving of remasters that would be amazing to be able to play on handheld.

Rockstar Games tackling the handheld version with so much care is worth the full price: with Cole Phelps adventures in LA getting a new lease on life.

All in all, L.A. Noire is still an enjoyable story-driven adventure game with an incredible atmosphere. The issues that it had in 2011 are still present, but they're more noticeable today, so it's not as enjoyable as it was back then. It may make more sense for people who skipped it in 2011 to enjoy it in small doses while they're on the go. It is unfortunate that the Switch version is priced higher than the other versions. Players who have access to another platform and aren't interested in a portable gaming experience may be better served by the PC, PS4 or Xbox One version.

It's a game worth playing for the story and setting, but not for the detective work involved.

Being the detective Phelps again after six years was more enjoyable than expected, mainly thanks to the unique features of Switch.
