If you're willing to give up mods, multiplayer and DLC in exchange for portability, then I'd say the Switch Edition does deserve a look. But, I have to note that it is a letdown that the Switch Edition is currently going for $50. That is rather high considering the missing content and year-later release.

There can be no question that those who are willing to dedicate their time to Farming Simulator: Nintendo Switch Edition will find it an endlessly rewarding farming and management sim, reaping their own success to soon see their outdoor business flourish. Farming Simulator - Nintendo Switch Edition is one of the best experiences I've ever had and I really didn't expect that. Driving around and managing my fields is as much fun as helping others out for some cash and get better vehicles for more efficiency. And you can play this on the go with Nintendo Switch.

All in all, Farming Simulator Nintendo Switch Edition kind of achieves what it promises: a smaller Farming Simulator that borders on machinery porn. It's not overly exciting, but it doesn't have to be. It has good moments, and the portable nature of the Switch makes it easy to drop in and out at any given time. Technically, it's underwhelming, and the world is cold, empty and feels too disconnected to engage the player. When repetitiveness sets in, only hardcore fans and enthusiasts can look past it and still enjoy the game. The core experience is fun enough that I'm reasonably surprised. If developer Giants Software can expand on the idea, I'm certain the Farming Simulator series will gain even more traction in the coming years.

Farming Simulator 2017 - The Nintendo Switch Edition goes to extreme lengths to bring the realism of farming into the home of gamers, whether you enjoy that realism depends on how well you know the intricacies of farming.

Farming Simulator Nintendo Switch Edition is reliable, but it needs some upgrades. It is the old tool that never really got a good upgrade that hits the same levels of quality. Fans of the franchise are going to love the meditative state ploughing the fields, and having the feeling of productivity. It has a certain magic to it in its realism that makes it a wonderful simulator, and those looking to try out the modern farmer life, or just look at the machines and drool, are not going to be left disappointed.

Farming Simulator is not something that you can recommend for everyone but there is something here that offers a really unique and enjoyable experience. If tycoon games of any variety tickle your fancy, I’d like to think you’ll find something in Farming Simulator that you’ll enjoy for a fair amount of time.

Farming Simulator: Nintendo Switch Edition is definitely one for the farming fanatics – and not really anyone else. If you're interested in farming from both practical and management points of view – and have an awful lot time on your hands to explore that interest – you won't find a better way (apart from perhaps a real farm) to experience it than this.If you were hoping for a more casual and easy-going experience to play out a mild interest, however, this is not the game for you; the intense realism and complexity of the game's core concept will be far too overwhelming for most players. Giants Software has done an amazing job at making this feel extremely real – whether this is for better or worse depends on you as an individual.

It almost goes without saying that Farm Simulator is a pretty heavily niche title that isn’t likely for everyone. If you have a real appreciation for sandbox games that free you to generally do things your own way and you don’t mind the often limited pace there’s some enjoyment to be had. If you have a real itch for the farming life, and gaining an understanding of some of the everyday work involved, you may find it interesting.

Farming Simulator - Nintendo Switch Edition does exactly what it sets out to do: The franchise makes a solid splash on the system with the benefits of last year's release. The vast amount of tasks and pure variety in how you can farm is staggering.

I wish there was at least something here for me because then I could give it some praise. I know for a fact that there are people out there who enjoy this game and games like this - more power to you all and I’m sure this game must improve upon a lot of things but since this is my first simulator game ever I just found it to be a real stinker.
