If you're new to Telltale Games' take on The Walking Dead, or if you're ready to revisit previous seasons ahead of the release of the final season next year, then The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Collection is a great option. The revamped graphics (models, textures, lighting, geometry, scenery), as well as the new lighting, bring everything to life, giving us the definitive version of the first three seasons, the 400 Days DLC content and the Michonne mini-series. The price is also great since its equal to the cost of buying two seasons, so this collection gives you more bang for your buck. Trophy hunters won't dig that the collection only has one trophy list with a single Platinum trophy, but at least it's a different list from the lists for each season.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Collection puts together some of the best stories in video games. This series has changed a lot, but even in its worst times it has always delivered tension and excitement, with characters you can truly care about. Previous owners might struggle to find the value here, but if you've never played these games before then this should be at the top of your Christmas list.

Unless you are absolutely desperate to join Clementine again, it's probably best to wait for a sale on this one, but whenever you play it, the story will stay with you for a long time.

The Walking Dead Collection easily achieves its goal of being the best way to experiences the bulk of Clementine's journey. The most appealing part of the package is the graphically enhanced version of the first season, and it winds up being a joy to play thanks to how well the design has stood the test of time. Whether you're curious of the series or a returning for a second go, there's a lot to like about this well crafted collection.

The Walking Dead Collection is a complete gathering of the entire Walking Dead games; included in the package are Seasons 1 through 3, The Walking Dead - Michonne, and The Waking Dead: 400 Days. Rather than being just a collection though, The Collection includes updated visuals so it looks far cleaner and more vivid on modern televisions and consoles (PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X). Unfortunately though, the biggest issue with the series has not been addressed, and that is the poor performance of the engine… For those, like me, that did not have a complete collection of the five seasons (three primary, two mini/secondary seasons), this is a fantastic collection but it does not offer enough to justify the purchase if you alread own the individual seasons.

Overall, the collection contains some of the best story-telling in video games, even if you lump in the third season. However, this collection should only be purchased by those who have missed out on the series entirely. It has upgraded visuals and serves a single hub for all you fans looking to take your first steps in the post-apocalyptic world known as The Walking Dead. It's a collection of great adventure games, but isn't necessarily a great collection.
