The second entry of this game is as good as it is bad, fun as it is boring, which should have been the first entry of the series, the differences between the two parts a few, and this game is never worth the high price at 60 dollars, so if you want to buy wait until the price gets reduced.

A.O.T.2 is a game with an engrossing story which instantly gets you hooked and you will want to keep playing until the credits roll. The gameplay is full of action and is satisfying if a little repetitive at times. There are some issues with slowdown which I encountered and the game is not perfect technically on the Switch version but I can't deny that it's a game I thoroughly enjoyed and I couldn't help playing until the end of the campaign. If that's all this game offered I would quite happily spend the money on it. The fact that you get a decent online mode as well where you get to play some thoroughly enjoyable battles or that you can ask someone to join you on a mission is great and works well with no drama. Time will tell if the game has a lasting online community. If you can forgive some of the issues mentioned you will have a fantastically enjoyable action game and killing those Titan's just doesn't seem to get old! I will see you on the battlefield folks!

Attack on Titan 2 is a fine title, it brings some solid levels of customization for your own characters and tells a rather dramatic tale.

Attack on Titan 2's concepts are sound, much like they were in the original, but it's difficult to recommend the sequel to anyone who already played the first or who isn't a fan of the anime. While the combat is undeniably enjoyable for the first few hours, it inevitably devolves into mindless repetition – and even if you can get past that, it's a slog to play through what feels like a copy and paste of the first game in order to get to anything new. Further disappointment comes from the addition of an original character who doesn't do anything to shake things up in these earlier sections of the game or add anything of significance to the overarching plot. If nothing else, A.O.T 2's a good way to experience the story of Attack on Titan, albeit with the absence of smaller details. If you haven't played the first game and are curious about how a video game adaptation of A.O.T could turn out, maybe try this to see if it's for you.

AoT returns with an action-packed game that fans of original anime/manga will love. A new approach from Koei Tecmo that improves its prequel in everything.

Attack on Titan 2 is a good entry for newcomers. The cutscenes and animations are well made for this genre and also the controls are surprsingly good. Even Spider-Man would be jealous if he'd see someone flying around like this. There is still some variation missing and the enemy AI isn't the best. If you can live with that and are a fan of Warrior-Style Games you can get this without hesitation.

Attack on Titan 2 is a fantastic game adaptation of a great series. The movement is fluid, the combat is fun, the game is optimized well, and there is plenty of content to play through.

At the end of the day you have a thrill ride of fun set in the world of Attack of Titan. As a fan of the show I would definitely pick this game up for the platform of your choice. While the Switch will be slightly less impressive visually, the ability to take it where you want can be a game changer for some. You’ve got some excellent gameplay with plenty of content and that’s exactly what a game about Attack on Titan should be. If you can look past the repetitive nature and minor hiccups then you’ll get a good 25+ hours at minimum.

Attack on Titan 2 is an undeniably fun experience that makes good use out of its source material. While the controls can be a little fiddly to begin with, it soon all gels together well enough to see that everything has been painstakingly thought out. The audio design is also on point, with plenty of panic from allies and a soundtrack that is satisfyingly faithful to the anime. It’s a shame that the same can’t be said about its technical performance, which is a little rough around the edges. It isn’t enough to hinder the experience too much and I did have a ball with it on the whole. There’s more than enough content to sink hours into here, and, with a little more polish and refinement, it certainly has the potential to become much more.

The price point is something to think about because it’s quite steep. However, this is indeed the game that fans deserved when Attack on Titan came out. So, if you want to be the better Ackerman, then this is a must buy.

Omega Force have managed to capture the look and feel of the Attack on Titan universe incredibly well here in Attack on Titan 2. Its a great jumping on point for anyone interested in the franchise even those that haven’t experienced the first game.

Fun, gory and surprisingly deep for an adaptation, Attack on Titan 2 may not break any new ground, but will win over the hearts and minds of old and new fans alike.

Attack On Titan 2 is a solid title that will impress players with its ambitious high paced combat and stunning visuals. It has some minor flaws such as some poor game design choice regarding Daily Life gameplay, but overall it’s a pleasant experience for any AOT fan and, probably, a great discovery for any newcomer.

Attack on Titan 2 improves on the first game in every way, even though we are treading on very similar ground for a large part of the game. If you didn't pick up the first game then I would strongly recommend this one without hesitation, if you have played the first one then I would still recommend this but with the warning that the majority of the story is going to be almost the same. Omega Force has added enough new features, content and modes to keep everyone busy for many hours and the fact everything is explained and not presumed you already know about things, is a great way to bring in new players. It's clear to see that they have taken on board all of the criticisms from the first game and used that to their advantage to create the definitive Attack on Titan game

Attack on Titan 2 is the very definition of "one step forward, two steps back". While the gameplay is massively improved over the first and the soundtrack is mildly enjoyable, the awkward retelling of the first game's story mode with the very little new content leaves a lot to be desired. The character roster is every fan's dream, though you're honestly better off just playing the first game which does them much more justice.

With the huge success the Anime and Manga franchise has garnered, AOT2 falls perfectly into place within this universe. As a fan of the Anime, I can definitely say that I am completely satisfied with this game, and assure fans alike that the title will deliver you an unexpected experience that will gratify you for hours on end.

Still, while Attack on Titan 2 does have issues, I can certainly recommend this even to people with only a passing interest in the show. It’s a little janky, and the repetitiveness eventually overshadows the novelty, but it’s a fun ride. I got about 35 hours out of it before I put it down, and that’s not too shabby. There could easily be folks out there that could get far more out of it, as I didn’t even touch the higher difficulty mode you unlock after beating the game. I think the only thing that would give me pause is the game’s price. It’s currently $60, and I’d personally wait until you could get it for maybe $40 or so.

Attack on Titan 2 is an interesting sequel as it chooses to retell the anime's story from the beginning and reuses a whole lot of assets and maps that existed in the previous game.
