With the huge success the Anime and Manga franchise has garnered, AOT2 falls perfectly into place within this universe. As a fan of the Anime, I can definitely say that I am completely satisfied with this game, and assure fans alike that the title will deliver you an unexpected experience that will gratify you for hours on end.

Attack on Titan 2 is the very definition of "one step forward, two steps back". While the gameplay is massively improved over the first and the soundtrack is mildly enjoyable, the awkward retelling of the first game's story mode with the very little new content leaves a lot to be desired. The character roster is every fan's dream, though you're honestly better off just playing the first game which does them much more justice.

Hopefully, the next game shakes up the formula even more but, until then, this one is a very fun and rewarding ride.

More of the same, but not necessarily a bad thing.

Attack on Titan 2 surpasses its predecessor in everything. It is a real gift for fans of anime and action games. One of a kind.

A.O.T. 2 is a very boring and monotonous game with a small amount of content and and not always useful innovations.

Overall, if you've watched the anime, you won't get anything else out of this game other than the fun (and it really is fun) of killing Titans. If you're a newcomer to the series or have only played the first game, Attack on Titan 2 will get you fully caught up with the story to date outside of the manga.

Attack on Titan 2 is an interesting sequel as it chooses to retell the anime's story from the beginning and reuses a whole lot of assets and maps that existed in the previous game.

Attack On Titan 2 is a solid title that will impress players with its ambitious high paced combat and stunning visuals. It has some minor flaws such as some poor game design choice regarding Daily Life gameplay, but overall it’s a pleasant experience for any AOT fan and, probably, a great discovery for any newcomer.

Still, while Attack on Titan 2 does have issues, I can certainly recommend this even to people with only a passing interest in the show. It’s a little janky, and the repetitiveness eventually overshadows the novelty, but it’s a fun ride. I got about 35 hours out of it before I put it down, and that’s not too shabby. There could easily be folks out there that could get far more out of it, as I didn’t even touch the higher difficulty mode you unlock after beating the game. I think the only thing that would give me pause is the game’s price. It’s currently $60, and I’d personally wait until you could get it for maybe $40 or so.

Attack on Titan 2 is definitely a better game than the first. I just wish it was more new than retread. Still for those that skipped the first game it is easy to recommend.

Attack on Titan 2 is a surprisingly solid Action RPG with unique combat mechanics and a traversal system that's probably the closest thing we're going to get to feeling like we're Spider-Man until Insomniac's take on the character drops later in the year.

An improvement over the previous instalment, Attack on Titan 2 tweaks its combat, character setups, and online modes to create an overall more engaging experience. Unfortunately, the core gameplay loop becomes boring after extended sessions, which takes away from its potential longevity.

While it gets off to a painfully slow start, A.O.T. 2 (Attack on Titan 2) ends up being an extremely pleasant surprise. It's a solid adaptation of one of the better anime franchises around right now, and the gameplay is definitely solid.

Attack on Titan 2 is a pleasant and acceptable game, even for those who haven't been aware of this story arc. It's a game that its developers' experience along with a good design, have turned it into one of the best and closest adaptations of the anime world

While it has plenty of flaws, Attack on Titan 2 actually presents a surprisingly compelling package. As an adaptation of the anime, it does a good job of capturing the series' signature sense of action and as a game in general, it presents mechanics and ideas that are entirely unique

The mechanics and cutscenes capture the essence of the show quite well, making it one of the less-one-note Omega Force games I've played. Unfortunately, the story moves at a plodding pace, and the game falls into more unfortunate strides of repetition than I'd hoped for. It could be better, but as 3DS's Humanity in Chains taught us in 2015, it could also be much worse.

The story is solid, though, as is the overall presentation. You don't need to be a fan of the franchise to enjoy this game, but I have no doubt that true fans are going to find even more to love than I did.

Attack on Titan 2 is a great game, it doesn't suffer the less power of Nintendo Switch and take advantages from its hybrid nature.
