Tesla vs Lovecraft is actually a pretty decent game. I'm personally displeased with using both names anywhere, but merging horror with technology is quite a good idea. If Lovecraft has to be an excuse for monsters and Tesla one for technology, let them be.

Play the game for tentacles' sake! Tesla vs Lovecraft has some negatives, yet it definitely brings out more than we've expected.

Take this game for what it is, an addictive twin-stick shooter which will ram more and more enemies down your throat until you learn to survive. For me, there is nothing more fun than blasting hordes of enemy creatures away with varying perks and weapons. It's by no means perfect but I will take a game like this most days of the week on my Switch for a bit of mindless action where the campaign is satisfying and the survival mode with online leaderboards is enough to keep me coming back over and over again. Everybody needs a game like this on their Switch and in their lives!

Tesla vs Lovecraft does not seek innovation within the SHMUPs, but instead, aims to merely contribute to the genre with modest features and boundless levity, and it hits the mark.

Tesla vs. Lovecraft isn't going to win you over if you crave innovation. There isn't anything here that hasn't been seen in other twin-stick shooters, but there isn't much for those wanting something off the wall, either. The story is lacking, but the game provides a solid and lengthy shooting experience, and even though there isn't a shortage of that genre on the PC, Tesla vs. Lovecraft is good enough for fans to check out.

Sci fi, gothic horror and general shooter fans alike will have a great time with Tesla vs Lovecraft, if not a hugely intellectual one.

Tesla Vs. Lovecraft is the type of game that someone comes up with, and thinks "this will never work." The premise is ludicrous, and shouldn't end up being a cohesive experience. Fortunately, this top-down shooter is a blast to play. It's fast-paced, hectic, difficult, fun-to-play, and ultimately, rewarding.

Tesla vs Lovecraft is named after two celebrities from human history, something quite unusual and, despite the cliched story of a conflict involving vengeance and the end of the world, it is worth playing. It's not 10tons best title when evaluating by the variety of weapons, but it will provide tons of fun. Undoubtedly it's their most frenetic title so far, and that makes it a great title for those who enjoy the genre.

Beautiful contrasts and lights in a difficult, fun and addictive enough proposal to spend a pleasant time at the controls

While Crimsonland is a game that holds a special place in my heart, Tesla vs Lovecraft is very much like that game but with a bigger focus on storytelling and delivering a sense of place. There are thousands of things to kill from creepy crawlers to lumbering creatures, and there’s plenty of weapons and ways to do that to spill eldritch blood. Tesla vs Lovecraft is just a fantastic hybrid of shooter and RPG that maintains its momentum all the way through. Being able decimate crowds of H.P. Lovecraft’s horrors is so damn satisfying while piloting the mech.

Tesla vs Lovecraft is a B-Movie style twin-stick shooter that hits all the right notes. Although a bit on the lengthy side, this title is worth every minute.

Tesla vs. Lovecraft is a wonderful and creative twin-stick shooter that manages to stand out from the crowd in what is something of an oversaturated genre. Despite the small reservation I have with the game's initial difficulty level, everything else — its art style, sountrack, gameplay and overall atmosphere — adds up to make a truly worthwhile experience. It might just be one of 10tons' best.

Tesla vs Lovecraft is stupid fun, reveling in nonsense and bullets. The rapid, frantic gameplay delivered in snackable portions underscored by a fantastic soundtrack makes for a hugely entertaining experience, even if it gets a tad repetitive after a while. We'd say blasting Lovecraftian horrors as Tesla piloting a mech was never this fun, but then it wasn't ever done before.

Tesla vs Lovecraft doesn't reinvent the twin-stick shooter wheel, but it does refine and perfect the formula of what makes that genre tick thanks to its suitably meaty action, vibrant visuals and a perk system that is deeper than the sunken city of R'Lyeh.

Tesla vs Lovecraft is another classic from top-down shooter pros 10tons and it’s a must-have for any fan of the genre. Its absurd premise makes for some great lovecraftian horror action, and its balanced gameplay makes it one of the best indie shooters this year.

the one thing I wanted the most out of this game does not appear: the ability to play as Lovecraft.
