Under the disguise of a traditional point and click adventure, The Red Strings Club shows us once again the ability of Decostructeam to use videogames to explore the human soul. The story is a pretty standard cyberpunk tale, but the "alcohol system" during conversations at the bar is amazing, and the moral choices are intriguing and demanding.

The Red Strings Club is a clever (and occasionally quite confronting) narrative experience that blends a compelling cocktail of ethical quandaries and social engineering, with a fresh slice of low-stress minigames. Served chilled.

Share a few cocktails, wonder about life, how you came to be and how fragile we are. The Red Strings Clubs is a deep dive into what makes us happy and how sometimes we fabricate our feelings. Beautifully written and executed.

Red Strings Club is more of a visual novel than a true adventure game, but its roughly four-hour story will give you some topics for your brain to chew on. The conversational gameplay, not to mention the drink mixing minigame, are a lot of fun.

Like many branching narrative games with ample replayability, The Red Strings Club is more about the journey than the destination. But across my four hours with it, I was too often not concerned with either.

Thought-provoking and heart-warming, The Red Strings Club may be brief but it's good to the last drop. And, like the drinks that Donovan serves, it'll have you coming back for more.

Few titles can take players on a journey with the ease and grace that The Red Strings Club does; its ability to do so much with so little is a ringing endorsement to the effectiveness of minimalism. The game will not—can not—appeal to everyone, but those seeking a title that takes narrative seriously should not overlook it. Although the gameplay is not challenging, the way it forms an integral part of the story is something that even the biggest, most practiced teams in the industry can learn from. In short, The Red Strings Club is unmissable.

The Red Strings Club is a story-driven, pixel-art adventure that let you experience an interesting journey in a distopic, cyberpunk world. Despite being too short, the new game from Deconstructeam deserves your attention if you love the point-and-click adventures genre.
