The third entry in the Dissidia franchise is a good one and fans of the franchise shouldn't miss out on this entry. With a massive roster of characters and entertaining combat, the core Dissidia mechanics are safe and sound. It's just a shame that this entry feels so bare bones, not only with its lack of game modes but in its story execution.

Final Fantasy fans will likely be enamoured with the array of classic locales to battle in, re-imagined songs from previous games, and the impressive roster of fighters on offer here, but it's all downhill after that. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is a disappointing fighting game that crumples under the weight of poor design choices and crippling technical issues, leaving little reason to recommend it to anyone other than fervent supporters of the brand.

Compared to the great fighting games we've seen as of late, Dissidia NT feels a bit slow and slightly dated. It's still a solid fighter and lovers of Final Fantasy games over the years will appreciate its dream roster and beautiful character designs. That being said, its brand of technical combat won't be for everybody and its luster is also outshone by several excellent rivals in the suddenly competitive fighting game space.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will appeal to longtime fans of the Final Fantasy series, but anyone looking for something more will be disappointed. Its bad user interface makes its good gameplay too hard to enjoy. Though it could have been more, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT ended up being nothing more than a fan-service franchise fighter, like all the rest.

In small doses entertaining as fast fan service frenzy with confusing on-screen displays, which lacks in scope and variety.

There's no doubt in my mind that most Final Fantasy fans will appreciate the attention to detail in regards to every character, map, costume, and weapon. I believe that Dissidia Final Fantasy NT has the potential to grow its audience if the developers evolve the game based on community feedback. Right now I think it's a bit bare bones compared to other fighters on the market, but if you're looking for a new, quirky competitive fighter to get into, you may enjoy Dissidia Final Fantasy NT a lot more than you expect.

Dissidia is Final Fantasy through and through, from epic battles to incredible music to deep and obscure mechanics that most players won't fully understand until they are hours into the game.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is not up to the task. We all wished it was better than that. It simply does not work as a 3v3 team-based fighting game. The only thing it does well is the fan service, and it does it very well.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT its a really chaotic and entertaining combat game. Albeit it has notorious flaws like reduced and limited game modes, fluctuating online performance and kinda broken gameplay physics and mechanics, its a game that will fascinate all those players that give ot a chance and, specially those who are fans of the Final Fantasy series.

In Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, the characters of Final Fantasy are once again brought together in the ultimate fight between good and evil, but an overly complicated play scheme and other decisions make for a game that you fight against, not a fighting game.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT finally brings Square Enix's handheld “what if” franchise to the big screen, and the results are pretty fantastic for those who love chaotic, high-energy combat scenarios. Unfortunately, the game can be challenging to get the hang of due to a range of factors including class differences and controls, and there's not much to do for those who prefer their gaming sessions solo. Still, for players who do click with this third Dissidia chapter, it's a heck of an experience.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT does its best to appeal to a more competitive audience, but in the process, has forgotten what drew fans to it in the first place. Despite this, with a strong roster and chaotic yet engaging combat, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT feels like a genuine love letter to Final Fantasy fans. It's just a shame that poor online performance and a story mode that's sure to be divisive ultimately bring it down.

Despite the negativity, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is a beautiful game. Characters look great, the animations are fantastic and the worlds are stunning to look at. The same holds true for music, something Final Fantasy is known for, making every battle feel all the more epic. It's a shame the gameplay is so simple with few modes to play with, but if you're a massive fan of the franchise or just want a fun party fighter to play, it's a solid choice. Other than that, it's a good game, just not a great one.

As a person who enjoys the stories and characters of the Final Fantasy franchise, I'm immediately more likely to be invested in Dissidia NT and what it's offering me. However, that's not enough; I need to love these characters and this complicated and opaque game type, and truly enjoying the heart of it isn't really possible for me.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is a disappointment for a fan of the series, taking away great RPG mode and replacing it with chaotic 3v3 battles. It's still playable, but not without some kind of regret. New players will appreciate good battle system, if only they can manage the chaos.

Overall, the game has been out since 2015 where it started on PlayStation 4, and now it is on Steam. It feels like it could be a great game if it didn't have so many issues and miscues for me.
