Life is Strange: Before the Storm - Bonus Episode: Farewell Reviews
It’s worth getting the deluxe edition just to experience Farewell, as no fan of Life is Strange should miss it. This short, but sweet bonus episode is truly remarkable in a way that few games can match.
You get a more innocent moment in time that's filled with bittersweet moments and sorrowing conclusions.
As someone who hasn’t played the original Life is Strange, “Farewell” successfully piqued my interest in continuing to explore Chloe’s life and her relationship with Max.
Farewell is a must play for the fans of Life is Strange universe. For the rest, not so much.

Life is Strange ‘Farewell’ is quite clearly a bonus episode in every sense. It’s short and lacking in a way which previous episodes have not, however it does do a good job of bringing the series so far to a close, therefore I would say it’s well worth checking out if you get the opportunity to do so.
The game definitely sends you into a whirlwind of emotions. From the happy moments that Max and Chloe shares to the gut-wrenching end that Chloe has to face alone. I cannot speak for everyone else but for those that this game hits home to, it’s a sad reminder how life can be fragile and how you can quickly lose it in an instant. So don’t waste any moment. Go hug your parents, go tell your loved ones how much you love them. Because you’ll never know when your last goodbye is.
It’s hard to even think of a game that gives players as many feels as Life is Strange does, and this bonus episode alone is a beautiful mess of emotions that succeeds at striking about every chord for players who’ve grown attached to the game’s main characters.
With the context of the preceding 25 or so hours of Life is Strange, the game proverbially hits you in right in the feels like many of the memorable moments of Life is Strange. It really is a wonderful send off for the characters of Max and Chloe, even if we had their story wrapped up almost three years ago.
We just wanted a Life is Strange that has a happy ending.

Will fans enjoy Life is Strange: Before the Storm's Bonus Episode: Farewell episode? Without a single doubt, yes! However, for a chapter revolving around what is probably such a pivotal moment in the franchise's history, it's also kind of disappointing, as it's a bit too short, the drama is not as strong, and the choices at hand don't alter things that much. In fact, most of the fun will stem from snooping around, rather than everything else.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm's Farewell Bonus Episode tells how Max said goodbye to Chloe before they meet again in Life is Strange. It is an episode that will be best enjoyed if you have played both games before. The story is touching, but we already know many things and even its end before we even begin playing. It is worth checking out because we can see more of Max and Chloe, but it is not an important episode - far from it.

"Farewell" is a very nostalgic and heart-warming episode of Life is Strange, maybe its "true ending".

"Farewell" succinctly captures everything that Life is Strange does well in a beautiful and devastating package.
Before the Storm's bonus episode doesn't feature the series' best writing or any pivotal choices, but it all works as intended here. It's just a fond farewell to a friend. One that gives players one more opportunity to see two of their favorite characters interacting with each other, and one final chance for the player to say their own goodbyes.
This bonus episode can't be missed by fans and should convince them to go into the Deluxe Edition of Before the Storm if they didn't. Farewell is a great way - carefree and melacholic - to say goodbye to Max and Chloe.

If you're an absolute die-hard fan of Life Is Strange, which you likely are if you're considering the deluxe edition, then jump right in and say your own goodbyes to Max and Chloe. However, if you've not played both the original series and Before the Storm in their entirety, Farewell likely won't resonate with you in the same way.
This is a Farewell for Life Is Strange fans, but Deck Nine once again does an outstanding job of telling a heart-wrenching tale within what is, effectively, someone else's story. DONTNOD may be the creators of this wonderful slice of life series, but the American developer's done an impressive job of furthering the fiction with Before the Storm – and this episode ties a big fat bow around Max and Chloe's yarn for good. Now, what's next?
Deck Nine have finished off Life is Strange in sterling fashion. Saying farewell to Arcadia Bay with Before the Storm is sad, but the best farewells usually are.
The Farewell bonus episode of Life Is Strange: Before the Storm is short but should be required playing for fans of the series. A thoughtful well written glimpse into Max and Chloe's life before it got so strange.
If you're a more hardcore [Life is Strange] fan, this episode is certainly worth a playthrough as it provides a more relaxed and carefree, yet melancholic and tragic, epilogue to the Max and Chloe saga of Life is Strange.
