The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 improves on the original in many ways but still suffers from poor design decision.

With its cast of unique, adorable, and amazing characters, and a storyline sure to defrost even the coldest Garachi Ice Golem's heart, The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 serves as proof that with the right upgrades and refinements to gameplay, no series is beyond saving when given the proper TLC it deserves.

The Witch and The Hundred Knight 2 is a colourful, funny, and interesting game, but it's greatly hindered by a drawn-out, convoluted battle system. Hardcore JRPG fans will get more out of this game than the casual player, but as a whole it just feels far too inaccessible for its own good.

The Witch and the Hundred Knights 2 was very enjoyable from the beginning. Be worried that with this type of game you’ll have to do a considerable amount of reading but that personally didn’t put me off, I loved hundred knight and I loved the hack and slash feel the game had.

After feeling a bit underwhelmed by the first game, I found The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 to be surprisingly enjoyable. Granted, the dungeon combat can feel clunky and repetitive and the English localization seems to be trying too hard to be edgy at times. A nice mix of that Nippon Ichi charm and humor on top of its darker, witchy elements, however, makes this worth sampling from your gaming cauldron, particularly if you like more niche JRPG titles.

…despite the improved mechanics, sound effects, and a story with great potential, the game itself is not very exciting.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is a sequel that improves certain things but didn't add the necessary refinements to other parts that needed it. Despite that, the game is enjoyable and fans of the original will certainly feel at home.

I enjoyed my time with Witch and the Hundred Knight 2. I thought the changes to combat did make it a little too simple and going through certain areas dragged on and became a little boring. This was offset however by the fun upgrade system for the weapons. I was always wanting to hunt down something bigger and more bad ass to slay the hordes of monsters. This was very satisfying when I got that awesome drop and took it back to the atelier and buffed it to the moon. It was a great feeling to go back and lay waste to wave after wave of baddies. If the stages had a bit more variety I would’ve scored this one higher, since I think that would’ve really made it stand out. The story is a mixed bag. It’s very predictable, but I really grew to like some of the cast by the end of the game even if they were terrible assholes to start with. This one took me about 35 hours to finish and I got the true ending. If you were a fan of the first game then you should pick this one up for sure, you will find a lot to love here for the $59.99 pricetag. If you disliked the tone or gameplay of the first game then there’s nothing here that is going to change your mind.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is an interaction over the original title and should please its fans. The sequel fixes a lot of the original's shortcomings, however it has its own flaws and doesn't reach the same tragic developments as the previous title even with a more interesting cast. NIS managed to create an action RPG that stands out from the crowd even if it's because of its shortcomings or because of its interesting and absolutely horrifying story.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is a great game in my opinion. It has a perfect mix of RPG, Graphic Novel, Diablo looting, and Satisfying Combat elements all rolled into one. The dialogue and the outlandish story keeps you entertained between the combat sections, with lots of opportunities to upgrade your weapons, summon new allies, and upgrade your skills – combat never gets boring or monotonous as you can shake it about in so many ways! The game isn't short either, with a massive map, multiple chapters, many bosses, and tonnes of enemies, you will be entertained for hours. The soundtrack and the voice acting adds an extra layer of magic into this title and gives the game more charm and character.

The Witch and The Hundred Knight 2 is a worthwhile follow up to the first game and, even with some repetitive gameplay, is a solid title worth checking out.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is a game for those who love anime, dirty jokes, and hours of raids on enemies. Nice music and unique combat system are there too.

While there may be a few interesting ideas in the story, it’s not worth suffering through the dungeons and needlessly verbose scenes to experience them.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is by no means a bad game, but I'm unsure how it justifies its existence.
