Even after all these years, TERA's charm does not fail to impress.

A TERRIBLE PUN (THAT’S ME!)

There’s a lot to take in and for me, it’s a shame but some parts work. It’s worth it if I’m being completely honest as it’s a game despite its age has shown what’s great about it. And that’s true action combat although for consoles there is lock-on which literally makes it less of a game than what it used to be.

TERA's console launch may be off to a rough start, but the amazing combat system should keep players coming back for more, even for players that just want to enjoy an MMORPG without paying a dime.

Successfully transferred MMORPG from PC to consoles. Despite having 6 years, TERA still plays great, although it could use a little bit more polishing.

This is an impressive package, the Tera Xbox One version is packed with content at no cost and it doesn't feel like you're ever pressured to buy in.

TERA Online is a solid MMO experience that unwittingly serves as an MMO time machine, for better and worse

Tera is silly, lusty, and over-the-top cute aesthetic within a massive MMO world, interspersed with frustrating and bad gameplay elements that punctuate otherwise fun and immersive action. The world is full of perils, and players have a lot of control over the types of characters they'll use to face those perils. More fun than foul, Tera combines the cartoony and the serious in its attempt to create a worthwhile MMO universe, and accomplishes the underpinning of a great title.

TERA may look past its prime on consoles, and maybe it is, but it's still a fun and relatively accessible Action-MMO Role-playing game that fits perfectly in the console space.

TERA is a solid MMO with a very enjoyable combat system. However, it fails to impress when it comes to traveling and the lack of quest diversity. There is still plenty to enjoy, especially in the endgame. And the constant support the game has received thus far is promising for the future. En Masse is definitely in it for the long haul on consoles with new dungeons being added and double XP weekends. With a zero dollar entry cost, TERA is an MMO worth diving into.

Tera is a six-year-old MMORPG that is showing its age, but not in the way you might think. While the combat and dungeons are fast and fun and have been translated to console successfully, the over-world has been sliced and diced in a manner that removes most reasons to visit it. If you have a group of friends and you want to run through the game, quickly leveling up and taking down giant monsters, Tera will be a blast. But if you actually enjoy the journey to the endgame, good luck. Tera has lost its patience for players like you.

TERA on PS4 and Xbox One is a faithful transition from PC, but the game at its core isn't without problems.

TERA could have been a great MMO. The world is large, beautiful and full of content. The gameplay itself is exciting and fresh, with plenty to offer in terms of depth and accessibility. But TERA on Xbox is not a great MMO. In its current state, it's not even a good one.

TERA is still absolutely worth trying out if you've never delved into it before. It's something I plan on sticking with on the side rather than as a main course, but those of you who are already chowing down on TERA should probably stay with the PC version.

The questing isn't anything to write home about it seems, but it's still a fast-paced, free-to-play MMORPG, that is genuinely fun to play thanks to its dynamic combat.
