Its simple, yet fun puzzles make the game quite accessible and the short length prevents it from growing stale. It is not worth it as a singleplayer title, but is fun to play with a friend or relative.

39 Days to Mars tries to send you to Mars in 39 days. But you won't feel like you are traveling for 39 days, you won't feel like you are in space and moving toward Mars, in fact you won't feel like you are traveling at all. Just try to have a friend or partner with you on this fake trip because in that case you might be able to experience a cool scientific life!

Despite being a co-op focused game, 39 Days to Mars is fun to play both with another person or on your own. The puzzles are all fun, creative and work well with the two-player aspect, with only a few puzzle types repeating themself as part of the humorous narrative. If playing with another human, the journey you take is more than simply trying to get to Mars, it’s all about working together and co-operating in order to overcome the obstacles thrown at you. It may only be a short experience, at around 2-3 hours, but it’s a journey you’ll remember and want to play again.

39 Days to Mars is serviceable, but there isn't a ton of substance here. Most of the ingenuity and overall appeal can be found in the charming art style and some of the creative cooperative puzzles interwoven nicely into the gameplay.

39 Days to Mars an amusing puzzle-adventure that manages to hit the right steampunk notes while mostly preserving that understated British charm. It's worth breaking out to play with friends, particularly if you're getting cheered or heckled by an alcohol-infused rabble. We just wish there was more voyage in this interplanetary adventure.

39 Days to Mars offers a lot of fun cooperative play but it's far too short an experience.

39 Days to Mars succeeds as a one-hour coop game whereas the solo experience is quite frustrating, due to the way the puzzles were conceived. The art direction is a treat though and both characters are true witty british clich's.

While notably short, 39 Days to Mars is a lot of fun, delivered in an attractive artistic design. It's really more puzzles than adventure, but the puzzles are satisfying to solve and never caused one of those "how was I supposed to know that??" moments.

39 Days to Mars is a short but funny and compelling trip from Earth to Mars with you and another person, or you and a pet cat. Designed for couch co-op, it doesn't penalise you for being a misanthrope like myself and offers a good amount of replay value with varied paths to take. It's well worth taking this trip to the red planet.

39 Days' premise is promising, but its short runtime leaves lots to be desired, making for a fun but ultimately forgettable romp
