A good collection of some of the best fighting games of all time, but held back by missing key titles from the Street Fighter legacy, and an arguable lack of care and attention that these games deserve.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection gathers twelve games bearing the series' name in an outstanding collection and further adds them a simplified local multiplayer and a very polished online multiplayer to some of them, contributing to make this one of the finest compilations ever made in the history of gaming.

As a collection of Street Fighter games, it's hard to say anything bad about the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection. It's a full-blown compilation of the very best fighting games in the world. (Also, it includes the original Street Fighter.) For anyone looking to play these classics with friends, it's hard to go wrong here and the robust Museum is the icing on this multi-layered cake.

Any fans of Street Fighter owe it to themselves to pick this one up. These are 12 of the best 2D fighting games ever released and to have them all in one package is excellent.

This collection isn't for everyone, and you'll likely not play every one of the 12 games intensely. However, it's worth picking up if you're a fan of the series or of 2D fighting games in general, and even my time in the weaker entries of the franchise was filled with nostalgia.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is a great celebration of Street Fighter's history.  While I'd rather have seen Street Fighter IV as opposed to five versions of Street Fighter II, I can't really complain about having twelve games in one collection, though only four are playable online.  I'm not too fond of the "random game" mechanic for lobby battles and I'm glad it doesn't extend to the other multiplayer modes, and the Switch's Joy-Cons are probably the least desirable way to play a fighting game of any kind.  Beyond that though, if you're a fan of Street Fighter you'll likely want to pick this one up.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection (what a mouthful) is a celebration of all things Street Fighter, including sketches and behind the scenes of the games for the last three decades. The collection perfectly emulates playing in the arcades, even adding optional frames that let you feel like you’re actually playing in a big, boxy, Stranger Things-related gaming machine.

In the end, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is a respectable package that will doubtlessly tug at the heartstrings of longtime fans, but falls a bit short of being a truly complete package.

An essential collection for anyone interested in arguably the most iconic fighting series, missing only some of the additions to the home releases and a spotty online implementation

"A solid collection of classic Street Fighter games, though four of them get more love than the others."

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is an excellent collection to revive some special moments from classical games. The port of the Arcade games are nearly perfect and the museum is good. The Online mode, however, presents some problems in the current state, but it is still functional.

The inclusion of an informative museum mode and a music player that lets you play every track in each of the games isn't what fans want out of a Street Fighter collection. That stuff might be interesting to look at for a few minutes when you first buy the game, but the things people are actually after are more effort being put into the games themselves. An option for input leniency would've been incredible, especially for those that are playing on the controller their console came with and not an arcade stick. Additional modes like Alpha 3's World Tour on the Dreamcast or 3SO's character trials would've been much so much more appreciated than what we received. This collection does exactly what it promises to do which is provide arcade ports of twelve classic games, but it does nothing more than that. The games in this collection are timeless; they deserved far more respect than this.

So overall I’d say the this collection did an amazing job at bringing arcade perfect ports to the latest console generation as well as preserving some amazing history through the design docs, art work etc. The main issue being the online is a little wonky right now can hopefully be fixed. If that happens we have a really special collection, which I’ll be playing for hours on end regardless.

An immense collection of classic fighting games that shows off just how good the Street Fighter series is. The games themselves are one thing, but the inclusion of the Museum mode allows you to learn so much about the series. Games are often said to be love letters, this is a love encyclopedia and is essential for fans of the series.

While it's disappointing that there aren't more extras, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is still an excellent museum piece for fighting game historians and would-be quarter jockeys alike.
