Your enjoyment with Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is going to mainly come down to whether your primary focus is online play. If so, then this isn't going to be your game due to the online play that is spotty at best and non-functional at worst. If not, then this package will definitely be for you, as you'll get 12 arcade-perfect games with gameplay that's still enjoyable today. With the Switch becoming a system that is getting some really good fighting games, this makes for a perfect addition to that genre library.

With a lot of content and huge fan service, this collection is a must-have for Street Fighter fans. Bareboned online options and other cons are pulling it down.

Recenzja Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is a compilation of 12 original Street Fighter games. Well... Actually 4 and their iterations, but still... It's a treat for every single Street Fighter fan, but atrocious buying decision for every other games. Those games are not good anymore, but carry the weight of nostalgia. Cool collection though.

"A solid collection of classic Street Fighter games, though four of them get more love than the others."

Digging through the history tidbits, kicking it old-school with E Honda and remembering how to do that crazy screen flashing Akuma super move are all the type of nostalgic joys that should be featured on a range of Hallmark greeting cards. Be aware though, if you don’t have that nostalgic connection then this really isn’t for you, the passage of time has probably been a little too rough for anyone without a history with the franchise to dive in here.

Though the games themselves far outshine the packaging that binds them, Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection is a fine celebration of one of the fighting game genre stalwarts. Plus, it's the only way to play Third Strike on current consoles, which makes it invaluable.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection (what a mouthful) is a celebration of all things Street Fighter, including sketches and behind the scenes of the games for the last three decades. The collection perfectly emulates playing in the arcades, even adding optional frames that let you feel like you’re actually playing in a big, boxy, Stranger Things-related gaming machine.

The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary collection is an amazing purchase for fans of the franchise who would love to play the iconic games which helped make this series one of the best fighting games in the world. Would I have liked other titles such as Street Fighter IV? Sure, but I imagine they didn't include these as they are already readily available on the current generation of consoles. There is a tonne of content here, whether you wish to play solo through the twelve campaigns, play against your friends one-on-one, play the arcade online in four titles and have random people jump in to fight you, or just head online to kick some ass – you won't be bored of this title for a while!

A decent price tag for a sweet slice of nostalgia, but some performance issues and lack of many gameplay options limit how much longevity you’ll get out of it.

So overall I’d say the this collection did an amazing job at bringing arcade perfect ports to the latest console generation as well as preserving some amazing history through the design docs, art work etc. The main issue being the online is a little wonky right now can hopefully be fixed. If that happens we have a really special collection, which I’ll be playing for hours on end regardless.

There’s so much quality inside of the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection that it’s easy to call it a must-have for fighting game fans. From the iconic to the obscure, every corner of these 12 releases is represented and reveled in to deliver a Shoryuken straight to your nostalgia centers and get you working on those combos all over again. There may be a few blemishes in the overall delivery, but this is still a handsome fighter — and they never lose battles.

Capcom has done very well, it has brought us a compilation that although it is not perfect, it leaves us with a magnificent taste. Content to spare to keep us glued to the screen for hours, whether playing solo, online or learning curiosities or details of this great saga. A highly recommended game if the Hadokens resonate in your memory and you want to feel the sensations of yesteryear again.

While the Switch version does have some control issues and not getting Ultra Street Fighter IV is a bummer, that doesn’t mean this version is terrible. You trade off these things to have 12 of the best fighting games of all time portable. I do hope they address some of the control issues with patches like the not being able to map 3 kicks or punches to a button. If you have a Switch and love Street Fighter I think you would be satisfied with this release despite its flaws. I mean at $39.99 you’re spending less than 4 bucks a title for some great classics.
