Reignited Trilogy is a wonderful set of games that remain true to their source material. No matter how you choose to play it, you’ll quickly get lost in the characters and their worlds. It’s all down to how you think you’ll most enjoy it!

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a very high-quality and well-polished remastered version of three of the best platformer games of the PS1 era. The gameplay hasn’t changed much but after all these years, it still feels fine and very enjoyable. The game had a complete visual overhaul and almost everything has changed and now it completely looks like an eighth-generation platformer. Some parts of the game –especially for the first game- may fell repetitious and boring after a lot of time. However, I can recommend this game to everyone who seeks an exuberant and fun platformer game to play.

A brilliant remaster that has wiped the dust off the original Spyro trilogy and given it a lease of new life in the hope of introducing Spyro to a new generation of gamers. The Nintendo Switch feels like the most suitable home for a family friendly mascot platformer where so many primary colours are at full bloom, so it is a shame that it has taken such a long time for a port. The low level difficulty will be quite off-putting to seasoned gamers, but charming characters, varied worlds and a number of items to collect will keep younger players entertained for quite some time.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is pretty much all you could hope for in a remake. It feels like a modern version of the originals, at least as best that they could be, without too many dated elements to hold it back. While I would argue it didn't age as flawlessly as one could hope, you get an absurd amount of bang for your buck and the ability to take it on the go is hard to argue with. So, if you want to have a blast from the past, look no further than Spyro Reignited Trilogy.

20 years after its original release, it is still a great platform game, with the perfect balance between classic gameplay and new technical elements. On Nintendo Switch looks and feels great, especially on portable mode... but It's a shame that this port suffers from longer loading times and some FPS issues when playing in dock mode.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a wonderful love letter to a classic series, keeping everything that made the original games what they were, but slapping on a fresh coat of paint for the HD era. There are a few creaking bones showing their age here and there, but only due to the developers' desire to keep things as accurate as possible. The Switch version looks absolutely stunning and runs surprisingly well, so if you're looking for a classic 3D platforming experience, you should definitely give this a look-in.

The Reignited Trilogy feels well at home on the Nintendo Switch. Spyro is still fun to play in a world that looks great. Incremental improvements on all fronts, gameplay and otherwise, keeps the adventure throughout engaging, if a little cumbersome at times.

Gamers who are happy to experience a truly sublime blast from the past, will be enthralled with the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. The title does a fantastic job of rekindling the fires of nostalgia. Allowing older gamers to re-live the 90s in the best way possible; through smooth and familiar gameplay and becoming familiar, once more, with the same magic that made Spyro's world so unforgettable all those years ago. Newer gamers, on the other hand, will be able to enjoy a classic experience made infinitely more accessible with a wondrous Pixar-like aesthetic. The title is a delightfully magnificent ode to a classic character, warts and all.

Activition managed to deliver a quite perfect platformer game with remastering Crash trilogy, now Spyro Reignited Trilogy continues this trend of reviving of old series. This could be an alert for companies like Nintendo that have the opportunity to remaster their old gems.

Developed with a lot of love and care by Toys For Bob, Spyro Reignited Trilogy is not only a fantastic remake for veterans of the franchise, but is also the perfect way to introduce new players to Spyro for the very first time.

In Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, after many years the gameplay is always current; the controller, whether for PS4 or for Xbox One, responds to perfection and technical changes have not suffered any loss of characteristic of the previous version.

After the financial success of the Crash Bandicoot remake it was almost inevitable that a slew of studios would follow suit and recreate other iconic classics. With Medievil and Resident Evil 2 looming on the horizon, Activision’s Spyro Trilogy was met with some criticism over delays and controversial downloads before its release. Thankfully, the game (or games as the case may be!) is another sure-fire hit, keeping everything intact that made the originals so endearing with enough of a graphical upgrade to make it worth the extra cash.

For someone who had never played any of the Spyro games before, these three titles were a thoroughly enjoyable experience I’d recommend to anyone. For the diehard nostalgics, there is a lot to love, and for all the newbies, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy is an excellent jumping off point for experiencing one of the series that made early 3D gaming so great. Aside from a few minor gripes, these are solid games and show that these old titles can hold their own today in a radically different era. Now, all we need is to see is the same love given to other classics. Until then, I’m delighted that after getting sidelined (and mutilated) in Skylanders, Spyro the Dragon is back, blazing his trail better than ever and flying high in his original series, the way he was always meant to be.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy offers great value for money with three fantastically presented remakes of classic games. The quality-of-life additions are a nice touch, too, as is the option for dynamic music. The performance could have been a little better, but if you played these games on the original PlayStation then you’ll no doubt be able to look past the very few shortcomings this collection has.

Reignited is a very well done remaster and was well worth the time and effort put in by the developers. Everything looks, feels, and sounds as if it could have come out this year as a brand new game. All three games are fun though the first and second are the strongest entries in the series. As platformers go these games aren't incredibly challenging, but there are some spots which can be fairly difficult especially when trying to 100% the games.
