The Forest Reviews
The Forest is an innovative survival horror with a valid potential capable of frightening and entertaining for hours even if limited by excessive freedom of choice. If played in company it gives its best.

Overall I believe the forest has and is continuing to be a survival game I have thoroughly enjoyed to play both with friends and alone. a very scary eerie world with many possible outcomes and situations that will happen will be sure to give you hours of enjoyment.
The Forest is a solid survival game with quite impressive graphics, great music that complements the experience, and two gameplay modes so that those that are looking for a more challenging game can go right into that, while those that want a more relaxed run that can allow them to explore every corner of the world without having to worry about dying from someone or something attacking you. The game is heavy on the crafting side, and with everything, there is to find and collect in the game, as well as the many objectives you can complete, you'll spend a while playing this one before you can add a new Platinum trophy to your collection.
A challenging survival game to test the wits and palate.
The Forest nails the mechanics for a survival game allowing us to explore and experience the main story at our own pace while we understand every mechanic each time we die. Unfortunately the story is quite forgettable and rather non sensical most of the time.

Nerve-wrackingly terrifying, highly polished and boasting one of the cleverest takes on the survival genre in years, The Forest is one of finest survival horror titles available.
A hybrid of horror and survival, with ample freedom in gameplay, The Forest is another formidable addition to the PlayStation 4 library. It could be better in some details, but it's a unique game because of its construction system. The coop campaign is extraordinary and represents the best way to enjoy the game, so be persuasive and convince some friends to travel along through this mysterious island.

The Forest offers us an interesting experience of survival with dyes of terror, in which all its mechanics are balanced. Without too many ornaments or tediousness; direct, functional and effective. In addition, the PlayStation 4 adaptation has arrived with a great finish. If you like exploration and especially challenges, the Endnight Games title is made for you.

Anyone who likes crafting, survival and possibly being eaten by cannibals (or eating the cannibals) should definitely give this game a whirl.
The Forest is an excellent survival game that bridges the gap on the PS4. With the genre's popularity on the PC, it's always good to see titles like this one finally coming to the consoles and giving gamers an experience unlike anything else. The Forest is addictive, scary and very complete and if you have always wanted to survive on an island full of cannibals, then this is your chance.

The Forest was an experience that took me some getting used to because I'm not used to non-linear games. However, once you realise that you can do whatever you want, you eventually grow to enjoy it. It did take me a few hours to appreciate what the game has to offer, but once I figured out what I was doing, I understood the hype behind the game a little bit more. Trophy hunters beware, this game will be a VERY difficult game to achieve the coveted Plat!
An eerie open world filled with deadly AI enemies elevates The Forest above a good number of survival horror experiences out there. Don't let the lack of story and minor repetition turn you off this atmospheric title.
A brutal, albeit familiar, survival game that's thoughtfully designed and elegantly refined, and as a result easily the best game of its type on PlayStation 4.
The Forest stages survival and exploration very atmospheric through horror elements, but is somewhat monotonous in the long run.

The survival genre is so crowded that there's little ground left to break, but The Forest has done it. Leveraging complex enemy AI and subverting expectations of the sort of terrible things waiting for you in the wild, Endlight Games creates a new sort of thriller. With some more polish, and a better emphasis on making all of the systems more coherent and intuitive, The Forest could truly be a very huge deal. That said, there's a reason it's sold 5 million copies. It's laser focus on executing specific ideas well pays off. It's worth trying to work around its shortcomings for at least a few playthroughs.
A smart port of a PC cult favourite, The Forest on PS4 is simply one of the best survival experiences you will find on a console.
The Forest is an awkward open-world survival game. It's thrilling to play because of the intense atmosphere, but confusing maps and annoying enemies make it really hard for me to immerse into the game.

This is a genre defining game that is an absolute must have if you even remotely like survival games. Amazing presentation, solid gameplay, and enough content to keep you going for awhile, this is a game that I would recommend at its full price of 20 dollars.
The Forest's survival mechanics are captivating, but its unforgettable horrors steal the show.
The Forest remains a huge achievement, and a survival horror game that somehow manages to keep those two elements surprisingly separate and yet let each impose upon the other in very interesting ways. I do wish it had been tidied and bug-fixed by now, but I can't stop wanting to play despite it.
