What Spearhead has created is a piece of Storytelling art. The way the story weaves in and out through the main characters needs to be seen to be believed and this tale is backed up by rock-solid gameplay for the entirety of the game.
I have to reach back 18 years and invoke Majora’s Mask in order to have something to meaningfully compare Omensight to. Not only do the deep hues of Omensight’s art style invite such comparisons, but the time travel loop has you similarly exploring the the same few areas during different parts of the same day and finding new things as a result. Granted, the structure here is entirely different, but the focus on a small cast of characters who are subjected to surprising moments of darkness (made more palatable by a veneer of quirky animal companions) hits many of the same buttons that Majora did.
The makers of Omensight probably wish they had an infinite time loop of their own. Painfully repetitive and lacking in polish, this game clearly needed a bit longer in the oven. Forgiving Majora's Mask fans may find Omensight's story and action enjoyable enough, but many who buy the game will want to turn the clock back on their weekend.
Omensight is an enjoyable indie adventure with a compelling murder mystery that unravels several layers of depth and deception.
Omensight is an amazing twist on the "Groundhog Day" style storyline. Some thinking and planning is necessary, but The Witch makes this easier. The gameplay is fast, fluid, and very fun. It may seem repetitive to some, but slowly learning and altering the day is part of the journey.
Omensight scratches so many itches for me. I love murder mystery games and branching, time-manipulated narratives so much.
Short and (bitter)sweet, Omensight tells multiple tales over a repeated loop, effortlessly driving you to invest into them all as you venture towards the truth and a way to save the world from cataclysm.
Omensight is a fun fantasy romp starring fuzzy animal things. It's endearing in a way that, considering its flaws, it has no right to be. With a little more polish, this could have been a great game. As things stand now, it's still a pretty damn good one. The story kept me invested, and I found myself smiling more often than not. If you can see past the rough spots, you're in for a treat.
If you are tired of big AAA titles and you can forgive some minor technical issues, Omensight is a title which won't waste your time.

Despite a good story, eye catching art design and solid combat, Omensight has suffered from very poor controls, and there are minor issues which can affect the gameplay. All in all, Omensight is a good game, and it might worth a shot.

Omensight is a great Action-RPG time-manipulation indie game set within the same universe as Stories: The Path of Destinies. As you reset time and replay the same day over and over with different companions, you will gain new insight into who was behind the untimely death of the Priestess. Yet, every day feels different, the same environments feel new and the same enemies create unknown obstacles. As you level up and gain new skills and attacks, the game gets more interesting and exciting. Graphically, the game is beautiful, with its simplistic design yet bold and colourful art style which will have you questioning if you're playing a game or looking at some Modern Art.
Omensight is a 3D action adventure game that has all the hallmarks of a PlayStation 2 3D action adventure made in the heyday of the genre but with the benefit of 20 years in technological and design advancements to spruce it up. Some occasional frame drops, a little bit of repetition and some occasional dodgy camera angles aside, Omensight is an edge-of-the-seat adventure that is hard to put down from the start until the credits roll.
I really like the story that Omensight sets out to tell, but I really wish that it was more fun to actually play. The characters and learning about their motivations made it worth seeing the game to its conclusion, but a finicky fixed camera and somewhat lacking gameplay made my playthrough less satisfying than it should have been.
Omensight is an action-adventure murder mystery that traverses time and genres to deliver a fun and balanced game perfect for coming down from your God Of War high.
Omensight's story is extremely entertaining and it has some fun combat to back it up. Just be ready to repeat the same segments a couple of times.

If a murder mystery action game sounds like a game you might like, I highly recommend playing Omensight. From beginning to end it just doesn't stop on delivering a solid experience. Although the story seems to be straightforward and simple at first it opens into an interesting tale with complicated characters helming the ship the whole way through.
