At least one aspect of the gameplay inadvertently confirms the feeling that Blazkowicz is just a shell of a person.

A mixed bag of emotions and gameplay sum up Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. A lot in the way of graphical fidelity has been hacked away at in order to get this on Nintendo Switch, but it is quite clear those who are interested in this FPS know exactly what to expect on that front. Despite the obvious visual downgrade, coupled with the pacing and storyline issues, there is still a solid arcade game here that can sit alongside DOOM (or maybe the next shelf down).

On the one hand, it's really cool that Panic Button was able to port Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus to Nintendo Switch. .... On the other hand, the only thing the Switch version has going for it is that it's portable. In every other regard, Wolfenstein 2 is better on other platforms.

Wolfenstein II for the Nintendo Switch is action-packed and full of awesome Nazi killing. But a few things hold the game back from reaching its full potential on the latest Nintendo platform, which makes it a little more ideal to play the game on other supported consoles if you have them available.

Wolfenstein II on Nintendo Switch is an impressive port, as soon as you play it on portable mode and not on TV mode.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus for Switch is another amazing port from Bethesda that manages to look pretty and works well on the Nintendo's portable console. As in the case with Doom, this is a great opportunity to play one of the best shooters anywhere, without being tied to the TV. If you prefer to play at home on a large 4K-display, it's better to buy a version for PC, PS4 PRO or Xbox One X.

Is it the best version of the game? Not by a mile. Is it enjoyable? Yes, and that may be all you need to know. It is a playable, albeit technically flawed, version that runs on a tablet. If you can play it elsewhere, you should. If you can't, the Switch iteration does a serviceable job of sharing B.J. Blazkowicz's action-packed journey.

If you have yet to play this masterpiece and only own a Nintendo Switch, I'm happy to report that Wolfenstein II on Nintendo Switch is handled with great care despite its issues and is still an effective way to experience MachineGames' alternate history epic.

Considerable compromises were made on a technical level, but Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is still one of the best shooters on the Nintendo Switch.

A good version for Nintendo Switch of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. It is true that it has taken almost a year to arrive, it is true that it is suffering a low resolution and graphics but the playable experience is still intact. A fantastic violent and frenetic shooter to enjoy anywhere thanks to Switch. And there are very few.

Wolfenstein II for the Nintendo switch is a first-person shooter that has been ported to the Nintendo Switch after been released on other platforms. Taking place in an alternative history where Nazi Germany won WW2, it is a fast pasted game that provides a bloody but enjoyable experience.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is yet another solid port by the people over at Panic Button and it really is excellent what they are doing. It allows Nintendo gamers to experience these types of games which have, in truth, been missing for such a long time.

Its story, with few exceptions, is excellently written and performed. A reliance on long, pre-rendered cutscenes may bog down the pacing now and then, but even in those moments the story was compelling enough to keep me going. The Switch is clearly pushed to the breaking point by some of the more intense moments, but it manages to pull through with only a few, albeit substantial issues. Wolfenstein II is another strong addition to Bethesda's growing Switch library and another praiseworthy effort from Panic Button.

Despite its shortcomings, Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is a great playthrough. Specifically, I think it caters to a group of gamers that, until last year, were really missing out on the mobile platform. It demonstrates the potential of the Nintendo Switch as a serious FPS console while still offering the mobility and freedom that Nintendo strives to obtain. If you haven't picked up Wolfenstein 2 yet and own a Switch I think, despite its issues, you'll really enjoy the playthrough.

Panic Button's work is commendable. On Nintendo Switch, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus offers the same quality of the original adventure, without altering the great personality of MachineGame's work. We can therefore unleash Terror Billy's fury against the Nazi army, embracing dozens of guns and experimenting original mechanics, at any time and in any place. The price to pay will be slightly limited graphics, but that does not hinder the dynamism that characterizes the action-packed gunplay.

Panic Studio's port of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus may be a game of compromises, but the amitious effort still manages to capture not only the complete content of the original game but also its very essence.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus lands on the Nintendo Switch and while it does not look its best, the newfound handheld function adds a whole new layer to the experience. Thanks to its good and enjoyable campaign mode and amazing game environment, this is one very recommended piece of work for any FPS fans out there with a Switch.
