It is great to have BlazBlue back on Xbox and available on Game Pass. It gives players a chance to check out one of the coolest fighting game series out there. It is fast, fun, and full of content and I cannot recommend the download enough if you are even slightly interested in fighting games. Let’s hope this is the return of Arc System Works on Xbox. They have been sorely missed.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is a good Fighting game but if the arenas and gameplay had more depth, the game could be categorized as a really great fighting game. Tag system is so much fun and combos are amazing, but in other hand story and story telling are awful. In the End i must say that if you are fan of fighting games and don't care so much about story-telling, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is a good choice for you to play with its fun gameplay and amazing combos.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is not a bad game; It's fast, fluid and entertaining. But in the end, enjoying it depends on players' taste. If this is your first time trying a fighting game or you don't want complex mechanics, then you will have a lot of fun. But if you prefer technical controls and the same amount of content and quality that was available in the past BlazBlue titles, you will be utterly disappointed.

Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle isn't Arc System Works' crowning achievement. The graphics could use some cleaning up, especially on the characters, and the reduction in modes for offline play will hurt those who are used to the series being rich in that area. The fighting is solid both online and offline, and it's easy enough for players of all skill levels to enjoy. It really is the DLC plan that's a big decision point for players. With no timetable about when all of the fighters will be released, the smart move for the more casual set would be to wait until everything is out first and see if the company will release a more complete version later on. Otherwise, if you can't wait, you're in for a solid fighting experience.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is a fun casual fighting game with an excellent network code, bright characters and nice effects, which suffers from a boring plot, lack of arcade mode, so-so graphics and a small number of heroes from the presented universes.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is an awesome entry to the anime fighter and crossover genre and ambitiously bring together four beloved franchises. It holds its own as being unique and fun to master, but it suffers from a more desirable story mode and unfortunate DLC model. On the other hand, it is beautifully animated, and the crossover has appealed to me enough to want to check out the source material for all the franchises. BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle was able to captivate me successfully; if you enjoy fighting games and are a fan of any of these titles, then this is a game you certainly want to give a swing.

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle will fill a gap on the Nintendo Switch catalogue for those looking for 2D fighting games with an anime aesthetic and it's a very welcome return of the BlazBlue series to a Nintendo platform. The game's biggest strengths are its gameplay, which may be simple but it's involving enough to keep the players focused on their fights, as well as its very appreciated online system. Despite the game's exaggerated use of downloadable contents, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is an added value to any fighting fan's collection.

Overall, Blazblue Cross Tag Battle is a good fighting game. It’s not great however which is a shame considering there’s actually a fair amount of competition on the Switch these days. I found the story mode to be fairly poor unless you’re really invested in the characters and my rough experience online did notch it down for me. Still, there’s a decent, approachable fighting game here with a nice tutorial for newbies. It looks outstanding and sounds great too, so it does have plenty going for it but it’s probably not going to be a top tier fighting game for fans of the genre especially because of the simplified nature of it.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is an incredibly fun and varied fighting game with some great combat mechanics. It is the lack of content and a poor character roster for a fighting game crossover that makes it an overall disappointing product.

There is no arcade mode here, which only means that this will likely get an improved version later down the road with it included.

We'd like to focus on how deep and intricate the game is, or how much fun it can be learning different characters, but the way Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle handles its DLC and roster can't be ignored. Take 2 points away if you hate DLC, more if, like me, you hate the fact Enkidu from Under Night isn't included.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is a fun fighting game that succeeds in taking three very different games (and a western anime) and reaching a compromise on what system to use.

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is a magical mixture of 4 japanese franchise that satisfies the fans of this long running series with some quality elements. Unfortunately, it's yet another microtransaction-based game and some of the characters can be accessed only through paying real bucks.

BlazBlue Crosstag Battle is a well made Tag-Team Crossover Brawlfest, which has a simple-to-learn but deep-rooted gameplay mechanic and delivers a shallow, but funny story and a very good running onlinemode. Fans of the genre and the different series should definitely give it a try.

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is an interesting crossver and a great fighting game, however, it presents a strange duality. Its systems were designed to appeal to a newer audience, but the tutorials aren't very detailed and the single player modes aren't enough to prepare the player for the online mode. The simplification of the battle systems also helped experienced players to develop new techniques in a matter of days that are absurdly strong. The online mode is great and should extend the game lifespan, especially for the more dedicated crowd. Thus, Cross Tag Battle is a recommended title for those that are already familiar with each series and intend to dedicate some serious time to it.

Despite a weak solo mode and an excessive DLC storefront, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is an excellent outsider in the fighting genre this year.

Overall, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is another solid fighter from the newly crowned king of fighters, but it is also a disappointingly smaller package than what fans expect from the publisher.

A great fighting game that doesn't does enought to be interesting for a long period of time unless you play it online.

All in all, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is a great 2D fighter that has plenty of depth with easy to learn mechanics. Believe it or not, the simple five button input system is intuitive enough when using a single Joy-Con for some quick on the go rivalry.
