Unravel Two looks to expand and improve upon the critical success of its predecessor. Charming and beautiful, Unravel Two does have some bright spots. However, those spots are few and far between thanks to some clunky platforming and dull puzzles throughout.

It feels like devs really wanted to make a sequel to Unravel but didn't know how to do it. They added a local coop but the story became worse. And the low amount of levels is compensated by a big amount of challenges. But did we really want them?

Throwing in a cute companion entwines players to solve puzzles together, but makes the gameplay over-dependent on action dynamics

Cooperative gameplay and challenge levels seems to have led to a lack of charm in this follow-up.

I don't regret having played this, but I do wish it was better. I love playing co-op games and I was excited by the idea of this minimalist platformer giving me an experience to bond over. Sadly, we both we pretty much in agreement on the final outcome. Unravel Two just doesn't quite have what it takes to be special.

In the grand scheme of pushing a little sentient piece of wool through a level and a number of challenges; memories and what they ambiguously mean to someone who worked on the game, or some 'highbrow' lost concept of 'connection' is not something that drives me, or many others, through a game. Purpose and reward for effort is what does that, and so far the Unravel series hasn't unraveled that little design nugget at all.

Unravel Two is a clever and endearing take on the original's formula, but doesn't come through on its cooperative premise.

Unravel Two has a more rich and funny gameplay, but lacks of the sensorial experience of the first chapter.

Unravel Two is a respectable sequel to the first installment, Although seeing it as a sequel makes our expectations high. The idea of solving puzzles together works most of the time but somehow the overall experience is too short to enjoy it while it lasts.

If you enjoyed the original it's certainly worth going back for more, but there's not enough for returning players that weren't enamoured by its predecessor.

Unravel Two lands on Switch losing a little bit of its visual quality, but gaining the possibility of share its gameplay in any place and moment (portátable mode included). It doesn't have new content, so if you played it when it was launched last year, you won't find anything new. It's the very same charming platform game with physics puzzles..

Unravel Two offers the same formula, a mix between plataform and puzzle games, but now you can enjoy in local coop. It's that enough for a sequel? Maybe for some, but if you played the original, you'll feel that it's a little bit more of the same, that there is not much new at all. Even the graphics feels very similar...

Unravel Two is a good platform game, full of puzzles, sometimes to easy. The atmosphere is dreamy, but the first chapter was more fresh.

Despite the beautiful and fluent gameplay, the game has its flaws on the Switch.

Unravel Two is a worthy successor to the first Unravel game, but aside from the co-op, it doesn't really bring much new to the table. If you're fine with that or not is up to you.

GREAT - Unravel Two is a charming game with compelling level design and fun gameplay mechanics. This isn’t your typical action-platform experience, as you’ll encounter plenty of small puzzles to solve to progress though the stages. Another great game for the Switch!

Though dialling back the frustration and amping up the breezy enjoyment is the key to Unravel Two being an overall more satisfying experience than its predecessor, the inclusion of co-op really is the pièce de résistance. It transforms an already endearing indie platformer into a gleeful social experience.

The original Unravel surprised many people when it originally released and Unravel Two is an excellent continuation of that game. The game may feel quite similar to the first one, but there is still plenty new here to enjoy for both those that played the first or those who didn’t and just want a fun new puzzle platformer.
