Pokémon: Let’s Go is an absolute delight. It may not be the next big step in the franchise, but it’s the perfect remake that the fans would hope for, with easy to play mechanics, a charming aesthetic and all the nostalgia. A surprisingly solid game that can be played by everyone until we catch them all.

While the two Pokémon Let's Go versions look and play great, the games are too easy, the battles are too numerous, and some changes to the game have taken away some of the fun. It's good for the nostalgia, but not much else. Nevertheless, it is a decent game to hold us over until the next Pokémon game.
A stripped back hit of nostalgia ideal for Pokemon Go aficionados
Game Freak and Nintendo have made it clear that Pokémon: Let’s Go is not a replacement for the core RPG experience coming in 2019, but that doesn’t mean that it can’t appeal to series veterans at the same time. It is true that the exclusion of random encounters and wild Pokémon battles (among other things) is weird and makes the game a whole lot easier. However, Let’s Go still manages to exude that Pokémon essence we all know and love despite the changes. Being able to experience the wilderness of Kanto on a TV for the first time is wonderful, and the option to play with even the least experienced player out there definitely has its perks. Pokémon: Let’s Go has the potential to scratch that catch-em-all itch for a while, although hardcore challenge seekers will really have to get creative with self-limitations in order to maintain any true level of difficulty before reaching post-game. But if we’re being honest, isn’t the most difficult part of any Generation I-esque game getting Mew out from under that blasted truck near the S.S. Anne?
Even if this Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee doesn’t introduce anything new (like a new storyline and pokémons), there are few improvements (especially in the gameplay) that shows the potential of a great future for the new Pokemon, coming in 2019. Hopefully we’ll see a new monster generation this time! So, I suggest you this game for Nintendo Switch, both if you’re experienced Pokemon trainers (you’ll enjoy all the easter eggs related to old Pokemon games and to the Anime) and if you’re gonna play a Pokemon game for the first time.

For what is supposed to be the next step forward for Pokémon, Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu! feels like it has taken a few steps back.
Despite the game’s flaws, I had a great time with Pokémon Let’s Go. The atmosphere was charming and inviting, and the details created a fun visual experience. The new capture method was engaging, and made no two encounters the same. This game is the perfect way to ease Pokémon GO players into the console Pokémon games, and offers challenges to old and new players alike.
Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! bring a lot of fresh ideas to the table, showing that Game Freak dosent intend to stay stand still once again on a product that by its very nature will always have a very big and fanatical audience.

Pokemon Let’s Go is a classic Pokemon experience with a good influx of modern mechanics.
Pokemon Let’s Go is a fun, relaxing RPG dripping with nostalgia. It’s perfect to drop in and out of and a great entry point for both new and old players, providing a well-balanced and enjoyable Pokemon game.
Pokèmon Let`s Go is a well-made offspring to the series and stays most of his time true tot he core-mechanics, but also reduces them with a very low difficulty and limited possibilities. Fans of the series, little and young players but also families should definitely give the trip to the Kanto Region a try.

Hardcore fans might feel that this game is too casual, but the general audience will be floored by the revamping of the Kanto region and the inclusion of new mechanics.
Pokemon Let’s Go is enchanting, refreshing and delightful. A few design choices and slight concerns aside, this is one of the easiest recommendations I’ve made this year.
Pokémon Let's Go is a good proposal for both the veterans and the novice: the combats are fun and the capture gives variety to their mechanics. It is possible that it does not dazzle all of us, but we will feel the need to do with everyone once we have started this adventure.

Both fans and newcomers should find something to like with Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu/Eevee! This remake of Yellow brings the nostalgia for longtime players, and the game looks great. A lackluster challenge, forced motion controls, and neutered combat system all detract from what could have been an amazing experience.
A nostalgic blast from the past that pays homage to a classic, Pokémon Yellow, and adds to the experience of becoming a Pokémon trainer for the first time once again.
