There are a lot of people who will get a kick out of Prey: Mooncrash, and we respect this - and we realise and like that it's a different type of challenge to the main game. However, we loved Prey and Mooncrash just left us cold.
In comparsion to the original game, Mooncrash brings a totally different experience, but it manages to do so pretty well. It's not going to be for everyone, but the fans of the roguelite genre probably will be satisfied.

If you are yearn for a new Prey experience, Mooncrash will do it for you but considering the price of the package, I'd say playing the first game and waiting for a sale is your best course of action.

If you're looking to enjoy more of what Prey already was, then I think there's a lot to like with Mooncrash. The core systems and mechanics of Prey are still readily found in Mooncrash and as such make for a lot of fun, challenging objectives to overcome. For me, it was an experience that lost steam the longer I played, but I can't deny how much I enjoyed its initial opening hour.
A smart expansion that probably won't be for everybody—but the right player will love it.
Prey: Mooncrash is a well-crafted DLC which focuses on battles, resource management, and roguelike experience. However, this DLC might be too difficult to persuade players who only expect a thrilling story to continue playing it.

So in general we can say to be in front of a very nice DLC, which, although I do not expand the content at the plot level, still manages to please a lot. The most interesting part is the feeling that gives us: it seems to be constantly under pressure in a place full of challenges and enemies. We will never have a moment of respite, never a second of breath, we will always be breathless on the neck and this is the maximum. The level design is studied ad hoc, the enemies are difficult to face, as well as the challenge in its entirety. We will never be bored, because the developers have also thought about this, introducing the procedure that serves to always keep up the level of challenge. In addition to this, the varied number of characters and abilities will always help to face the challenge in a different way. In short, another wonderful work by the studio that proves once again able to achieve an excellent title in terms of gamplay but also technical. We strongly advise you to keep an eye on this DLC!

Mooncrash is the AAA roguelike you never knew you wanted. It takes several of the best things about Prey and breathes new life into them. It might not be more of the story of M.Yu, but there is still enough mystery to keep the horror themes alive as you try to crack the perfect run through the moon base.
Rather than just making more game, Arkane made a different game within their game, and done to an excellent degree. Making the game into a AAA roguelike is daring, bold, and pays off incredibly well. Mooncrash is a wildly different game than what you find its main mode, and this is to the game's benefit, as Mooncrash exemplifies what makes the combat so good. There's a story to tell here, and while I wish there was bit more exposition, Prey - Mooncrash excels at what it sets out to do. R. Yu ready?
If you have enjoyed your time with Prey, don’t let the random elements deter you from buying this expansion. This is basically the best thing for a downloadable content that the developers could have done with Prey’s gameplay and it is worth its asking price if you want more of the same.
Prey: Mooncrash is a DLC that expands and enhances several elements of the original game, focusing on a roguelike gameplay of survival and stealth.

An interesting attempt to blend roguelite elements within a narrative and a welcome return to Prey's quirky alien world. It won't be for everyone but it's a satisfying, fun and challenging experience for fans of one of last year's best games.
Get ready to re-install Prey as this surprise DLC gives you a whole new roguelike way to play the game!
Ultimately, Mooncrash is another great reason to get into Prey.
If at first you don't succeed and find yourself horribly mauled to death by a lunar landshark, try try again. Prey: Mooncrash takes the core elements of Prey and tweaks them to provide a new and immersive experience that offers a fresh new spin on Arkane Studio's fantastic game of spacebound paranoia.
Prey Mooncrash is not what you expect but it's a great and surprising addition to the original game, that will please fans and will give you some good challenge.

Mooncrash is an excellent piece of DLC that allows the more creative elements of Prey to shine.
Bethesda could have written Prey off with no further support, or released a DLC that just did more of the same, but it didn't. Prey: Mooncrash is an excellent expansion to a great game and adds enough of a twist to feel fresh and exciting.
There's no doubt, Mooncrash is a must play for anyone who enjoyed Prey. But it's also a must play for any fan of roguelike games. The RPG aspects, the procedural content, the mystery of the story... it's all so on point that it's hard to knock for anything but the similar faults of the original game. Prey: Mooncrash is, simply put, the best stab at a roguelike a Triple-A studio has ever tried, and it's proof that there's room to expand on the format.
