Overcooked 2 lives up to and improves upon its predecessor, it’s a joy to play from beginning to end. Whether it’s the perfected gameplay, sharp-witted dialogue, catchy music or cute art style, there is something to love in every area of the game.

If you are looking for a great co-op experience with trusted friends, you really can’t go wrong with Overcooked 2. It’s method to the madness gameplay will keep you entertained for hours. The short length simply leaves you wishing you had more of it in the first place.

A fantastic co-op game, Overcooked 2 is an easy recommendation for those looking for a game to play with friends and family. The pacing, mechanics that encourage cooperative behaviour, the addition of a much-needed arcade mode, and accessibility all make for a decidedly fun game. The lack of variety in the arcade and versus' mode stages is a bit disappointing, as is how much of the game's identity is owed to what came before it, but these are only minor misgivings in the face of what Overcooked 2 does well.

Is Overcooked 2! worth the purchase? I would say it is, for sure. The story and writing may be a bit over-the-top and punny for my liking, but there are certainly people out there that will have some fun with it. So whether you're a cook for the ages or a master of the macaroni and cheese, Overcooked 2! is certainly worth picking up.

The hectic co-op cooking game is back for another heaping serving with Overcooked 2. The sequel adds even more crazy mechanics and hazards to overcome, the ability to throw your food without your mom berating you, and the option to play online with other folks to boot. Controls still can be finicky at times and lag can be an issue online as well. Overall, though, Overcooked 2 is one gaming dish you'll want to savor if you love charming co-op hijinks with a gourmet twist.

When we first started Overcooked! 2, we expected a two to a three-star game due to lack of advertisement and knowledge. Instead, we were treated to a full course meal with a few peculiar side dishes that left our pallets craving more.

I was definitely looking forward to playing Overcooked! 2 on Nintendo Switch, and I'm happy to report that the game did not disappoint. The fast-paced action, the crazy kitchens that change as you go, the new recipes that have you dashing all over the place for the right ingredients, being able to throw said ingredients to maximize the short windows you have for completing each order, playing at home or on the go, and being able to take things online… it all comes together to give us one of the console's must-have party games.

While Overcooked 2 does not have many core upgrades from the original title released back in 2016, the overall feel of the title is much tighter right now, control and game progression wise. If you’re looking to get into the game with a brand new set of friends for each session, go for the more forgiving story mode as opposed to arcade mode. Overcooked 2 should be the go-to party title for any Switch owner in their library.

Overcooked 2 is better than the first game, largely thanks to the addition of online multiplayer and the ability to throw ingredients, but it can still be improved.

The original Overcooked is a cooperative masterpiece and this sequel simply tried a little too hard.

Overcooked 2 is more of the same, if not even more chaotic, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Overcooked 2 offers a more enjoyable and fun collaborative experience that will make you spend a lot of fun times with your wife, family or friends. With a good campaign that offers more than 40 different levels and arcade and Versus game modes, this game will always appeal to you as long as you do not play alone. .

Overcooked 2 is still one of the best local co-op experiences to make your friends hate you. The sequel plays it safe, though, with few overall improvements apart from an online mode and a throwing mechanic. Add to that the inconsistent difficulty, which ranges from ridiculously easy to punishingly tough, and you have a game that is familiar but doesn't push the envelope as much as you may have hoped for a sequel.

Overcooked! 2 builds up on the original game and improves the overall art style while bringing a new online multiplayer component, thus improving the overall experience. This could have been done without scaling back the difficulty and challenge level of the game, which along with some new but rather unnecessary features make this sequel a mixed bag when it comes to the improvements over the original.

When I first saw Overcooked 2, I knew there was something special about the game. The fact that Nintendo chose what was a little-known, independently developed game to showcase at E3 this year alongside flagship franchises such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate demonstrated their faith in the game. And that faith was not misplaced. New features such as the throwing mechanic, online multiplayer and improved production values sweeten what is already one of the best multiplayer experiences on the console. And although there are some negative points (such as the lack of native voice chat during online play), these are minor gripes when compared to the mayhem and pure, unadulterated fun that local multiplayer sessions offer. If you have three friends and are looking for some of the most fun on the Nintendo Switch, you’d be hard pressed to pass on Overcooked 2.

The kitchen chaos of 'Overcooked 2' is a must do experience for any Nintendo Switch owner (and their friends). There are some nice upgrades from the original and the gameplay, varied kitchen design and change from level to level make it a truly fun and engaging experience. The difficulty is ever present, and there are some really rewarding experiences when you finally earn that 3rd star on some of the later levels. This game is best played on the couch with friends and it should be a part of everyones Nintendo Switch owners catalogue.

Overcooked 2 has made a big progress. The kitchens are much more imaginative and dynamic, and the brand new ability to throw food makes the pace of the game faster and funnier. Besides, the online support makes it possible to play with your friends even when you are not sitting side by side.
