Nobody thought Fortnite would still be popular this late on, but it's continued to adapt and fight for its spot at the top of the battle royale ladder.

Fortnite on PS5 is an improvement with a lovely 4K resolution and useful and accurate haptic feedback. Activity Cards help players get to the Battle Royale mode they want easily, jumping in quickly without wasting a moment. Adaptive Triggers disadvantage you in Battle Royale but are a nice addition in Save The World. Fortnite is still the same game, albeit with some nice quality of life changes on Sony's new console.

Fortnite's stylish looks and risk-taking ideas are what's made it into the powerhouse you know today. Mention Fortnite to kids anywhere and they'll probably know what you're on about. In emulating pop culture with its meme-like dances and Pixar-good-looks, Fortnite has became pop culture itself.

Fortnite is the lucky encounter between a more than pleasant game and a marketing experiment of capital importance for the world of video games. In its two Epic Games, Fortnite has put a lot of resources into creating an empire and putting together the right video game at the right time, able to win the hearts of millions of players thanks to an accessible but deep gameplay. Fortnite skillfully exploits all the battle royale's chrisms to offer players an experience that is at the very least fun at every access, constantly renewing itself and constantly looking for new things. This, of course, brings with it balance problems that are added to bugs of various kinds, able to make the nose twitch to players already little interested in gunplay or structure but little matter, since they can always fall back on Fortnite Save The World. The presence on virtually every device is just the icing on the cake for a title that, against all odds, deserves more than a few glances and some insults.

Yes, the paid Early Access is something that has to be discussed. And yeah, it's another game with a lot of undead people wanting to eat your brain. Despite these two flaws, Fortnite is a damn good, entertaining game with a gameplay that keeps you motivated and makes you want to play "just one more round". The almost unlimited building possibilities to keep your objective secure gives an additional, nice touch to the beloved tower defense formula and if you're ever sick of all this stuff, just get into the entertaining, fast paced Battle Royale mode.

Fortnite wants to cover more than it can. Its three pillars of action, construction and management are too independent. To make matters worse, it feels too focused on opening piñatas (chests) and pay-to-continue.
