There really isn’t a great deal I can put this game down for, i’m not sure how long it is but I’ve been playing for just under 4 hours and there seems to be a lot more to it. Plus there’s almost an endless feel to it as you can just keep playing the same rooms over and over to harvest stem cells and collect fab tokens to improve your build. It’s the first VR game since Resident Evil that’s made me want to keep coming back for more and has put a little more faith in virtual reality format, i can only hope for more of the same. This game is definitely worth the price tag and is a must for any PSVR user.
The Persistence is among the finest VR experiences to date and may prove to be a game changer for naysayers of the technology. The rogue-lite elements and asymmetric multiplayer are well-integrated into its survival horror gameplay, and serve to add plenty of replay value to an otherwise short experience.
The Persistence takes every element from a traditional roguelike and brings it to the next level in Virtual Reality. This sci-fi explorative adventure is a polished experience, from the graphics quality to the exceptional sound design. The gameplay offers procedurally generated levels and a wide gamma of power-ups and weapons, all available for you to customize your character in the best way. The Persistence is a must have if you are looking for a fresh new VR horror adventure on PS4.

Despite the lack of variety over long playthroughs, The Persistence is a sci-fi survival horror that all PS VR owners should have.

Survival horror is the perfect fit for virtual reality and The Persistence wants to set the benchmark for how it should be done properly. With full movement, immaculately detailed environments and the genuine feeling of horror, this is one of the best that the genre can offer in VR right now.
The Persistence isn't anything original but everything it set out to do it pretty much nails. While I wasn't drawn to the story so much the combat and constant variety of new ship layouts kept me engrossed and saying I'll give it one more run. It's a tense, unnerving and action packed romp aboard The Persistence and any fan of horror owes it to themselves to give it a go.
It doesn't rip up any trees in terms of the horror genre, even in VR, but The Persistence is a game that understands how to deliver proper terror and tension for Sony's virtual reality hardware. Finally, we have a horror game that is fully designed for PSVR and the end result is something pretty special.
The Persistence is an amazing roguelike FPS with full immersion within VR. When you’re not salvaging the ghost-ship “Persistence”, looking for Stem Cells and other useful items, you’ll be either hiding from or taking out the mutated clones who roam the decks of this doomed ship. The only downfall of the game lies within its clarity as the game can get a little fuzzy at times, but this is more than made up for with its incredible stealthy combat mechanics and progression system. The Persistence is great to play on your own but it’s even better to bring along a friend as you work together (hopefully) in order to find a way to regain control of the ship. This is another ‘must buy’ PSVR game which everyone should own.
Stealth, horror and procedural scrambling converge in a thrilling package.
See its this level of thinking, the unlockables, the upgrades, endings, and survival mode that allow The Persistence to be on your list to play. It’s the type of game that doesn't need to have someone hold your hand, it’s the type of game you need to experience for yourself. It allows you to test yourself and shows that even when we fall down that we should get back up and try again, even if those right next to have the power to help or hinder your gameplay.
