Senran Kagura Reflexions may be great for superfans of Asuka or one of the four DLC girls, but non-fans or fans of other series girls may want to steer clear.

While the Senran Kagura series has always been rife with fanservice and hyper-sexualization, these moments were at the tail-end of addictive action gameplay, funny character interactions, and classic anime cheesiness. These things are what make up the heart and soul of Senran Kagura, and by removing those and placing full focus on the T&A virgin wish-fulfillment, Senran Kagura Reflexions is just a lifeless alternative to an afternoon with your Chrome Incognito tabs.

Reflexions is not great. There's not much content, there aren't enough massage mini-games, there aren't enough dress-up options (at least, not yet), and the voyeuristic tone is creepy. And then there's the fantasy involving Asuka being your "little sister," which almost makes me want to nuke the game from orbit. For the Senran Kagura superfan, it's probably required reading but everyone else can just wait for Peach Beach Pinball.

If you're not the type to shy away from a game that doesn't take itself too seriously while tantalizing the player, it's probably worth the 10 dollars, especially when the planned DLC characters are eventually launched. I just probably wouldn't play this game around younger children, jealous significant others, or puritan parents. They'll probably give you strange looks.

Since I am a big fan of the franchise, I had a ton of fun with Senran Kagura: Reflexions and I honestly cannot wait until they add the other girls. These include Yomi, Yumi, Murasaki and Ryona, and I will certainly need to spend quality time with my beansprout for sure! Anyways, I think your enjoyment of this title will depend on if you are a fan or not. If you are a fan, then you will definitely want to check this one out ,and if Asuka is your favorite gal, then it goes without saying you should own this. The game is really short, you can beat it in about 3 or 4 hours. You will get some extra mileage out of it by seeing all of Asuka’s different reactions and unlocking all the different accessories and such. I still feel it is well worth the $9.99 price point and if the upcoming gals are your cup of tea, you will certainly want to add those as well. While this one may not be for series newcomers, fans will find a lot here to love, Asuka included!

Senran Kagura Reflexions is no masterpiece, but it was never made to be one. It is a short and sweet adventure of discovery and love, of poking, slapping, grabbing, and ultimately, massaging.

Senran Kagura Reflexions is really nothing more than a proof of concept. Honey∞Parade Games set out to make a game where you touch Asuka all over until she's been satisfied and in that respect, it succeeds. Just a damn shame the developer couldn't turn all that touching into something worth playing.

As innocent and silly as it all pertains to be, it's just a tame excuse to get a bit of cheap sleaze onto a Western games console.

If you're a big Senran Kagura fan then you'll likely enjoy this, and at £8.99 it isn't too pricey. It seems like all DLC characters will be a similar price though and if they're anything like this one, then you're getting a shockingly tiny amount of repetitive content for your money. I recommend skipping this one, although the Joy-con HD rumble features are pretty great.

Senran Kagura Reflexions is an Ecchi dating sim game that in reality is a touching and squeezing simulator. The gameplay feels pervy at times, and gets repetitive and boring fairly quickly. There are no visual issues, and motion controls make things more interesting, but it unfortunately isn't enough to make it entertaining.

I didn't really enjoy Senran Kagura Reflexions at all and I don't think I'll ever be going back to it. Somebody awaken me from my long Asuka-induced hangover when a normal Senran Kagura game comes out on Switch, it sure as hell deserves one on the handheld-hybrid. Also, nobody tell my girlfriend that I reviewed this. Thanks.

Senran Kagura without its iconic action just doesn’t work. Peach Beach Splash mechanics weren’t fun and in Reflexions, there’s just no content and the fun wears off after the first half-hour. Maybe PeachBall will be good since you can’t make a bad Pinball game, but otherwise, wait for Re:Burst.

Dial (555)-555-5555 for a good time, $4.99 every minute. Or, pay $9.99 upfront and go hands on for as long as you'd like and even see person in front of you. There's a very repetitive gameplay loop for the story mode if you plan to see and unlock everything. There's no "going all the way", but there's actually a decent amount to unlock if customization is your thing. I.... unlocked everything. You also have the freedom to create any scene you'd like with your girl. So there's that.

While it seems like the developers behind Senran Kagura Reflexions have met their goals for the experience they’ve delivered it’s hard as someone who isn’t already familiar with the series to take in. With only the most bare amount of actual gameplay it’s more of an odd virtual girlfriend simulator than anything else but even then there’s not much variety here. The hook to continued play really just ends up being a chance to unlock more costumes and accessories but that’s about it. If this sounds like your cup of tea, more power to you, but for anyone who isn’t already on board it’s probably not something you’ll want to just randomly pick up.

I really don’t have anything else to say about this game. It’s a glorified model viewer and other games in the series are far more out there with what they want to show to their audience. There are literally hundreds of anime fan-service games out there that are way better so check those out instead – Even if you want to check it out for what it does with the HD rumble and the Switch… Don’t. It does nothing. There’s your review.

If you're a fan of the Senran Kagura characters, manga, and/or anime, I'm sure you'll find some enjoyment with Reflexions. However, if you were a fan of the action gameplay featured in previous titles, this game won't scratch that itch. It's a very different experience to be sure. The visuals are definitely the game's strong suit but the repetitive gameplay reduces the experience and replayability overall.

Senran Kagura Reflexions deviates from past entries to explore in depth the troublesome topic of massages. Touching girls so as to receive certain memories in exchange is one of the weirdest things we have done in a long time, and it certainly was not worth our while.

This feels more like a tech demo that was expanded into a miniature game. The gameplay gets incredibly repetitive, so it hard to enjoy it. The only worthwhile thing to say for it is the visuals look great.

Senran Kagura Reflexions is really nothing more than a sexed-up HD Rumble tech demo that will most likely leave you feeling more awkward than satisfied upon completion.
