A unique but expensive space experience if you want to enjoy it in full.

Starlink is a well-done mixture between an arcadeshooter and an openworld game with focus on exploration, which delivers players a good package combined together with the classic formula of Ubisoft, a good (but expensive) toys-to-life product line and the possibility to complete the game without any additional payments. Both younger and grown-up fans of the genre should give the new franchise a try.

While directed at kids, Starlink is to be enjoyed by everyone. Yes it is pricy but other than that it is an amazing adventure. The best place for the game is on Switch thanks to the Star Fox extra's

Overall Starlink: Battle for Atlas is pretty enjoyable experience and gets a thumbs up from me its fun to play through and has some great touches throughout the 20-30 hour storyline, with plenty of content to keep you coming back for more after the story is complete, I’m just not sure how much the toys are really necessary.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas offers a courageous new experience for gamers. The usage of toys is exceptionally well done but we are not sure if it is for everyone. They are also unnecessary as they don't really give you an extra edge since the game is complete as is and tons of fun to play. Ubisoft nevertheless learned from the mistakes of No Man Sky and managed to give us everything we wanted to see in space exploration with a twist. We would personally like to see more content coming out soon along with more intractability with planets. Overall, we highly recommend this game if you are into space exploration games.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas despite its simplicity and humbleness is a great and enjoyable game at its core, but unfortunately it makes lots of mistakes. if we were in 6th or 7th generation of video games, optimistically we could expect a better sequel for it, but unfortunately for now Starlink is a good game that we can't predict a better future for it anytime soon.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas provides a fun space adventure bolstered by awesome toys-to-life, though it notably suffers in some departments.

Let’s not kid ourselves; Starlink is here to sell toys. Just like Skylanders, amiibo, and Disney Infinity before it, Starlink is a game designed to make you buy those little ships, digitally or physically. And no, they won’t break the bank, and are pretty cool for what they are. I do wish the base game came with a little more oomph, but overall it’s a quality product, if you’re willing to make the investment

I think this game can be easily enjoyed by adults and kids alike. The unique worlds are chock full of unique flora and fauna as well as enemies and allies to observe, battle and aid in a constant struggle against the forces of evil.

The game’s story is lacking in places, is repetitive and lacks more variations of enemies so bear this in mind but remember it’s still fun. Starfox does seem like an afterthought and I would have loved to have seen this game as a pure Starfox game but Ubisoft and Nintendo clearly opted for something else. The planets are gorgeous and well-designed but sometimes do feel barren and unloved by wildlife. There is plenty to do, as the game should give you around 20 to 25hrs worth of playtime. Everything is voiced acted so there is no need to read anything, and there is so much depth to this game just like many other Ubisoft games, so there is plenty to dig into.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas is an open world space shooter that is aimed at the younger market by combining toys with gameplay in an interesting way. Actual gameplay is not groundbreaking and gets repetitive after a while, but the way the game integrates with the toys at your disposal is quite innovative and fun, provided you have enough options available.

I recommend giving this game a shot. Minus a few flaws, it can captivate you in certain ways that other space exploration titles have failed to do. And if you’re a fan of plastic toys? Even more of a reason for you to get your hands on Starlink: Battle for Atlas. It’s not the greatest, but it does what it’s supposed to and it does it right.

An astoundingly excellent adventure game with a lot to do and a great deal of area to explore. They even take the game to the physical world and give you the option of holding the ships and weapons in your hands. Change them out to be instantly shown in the game and combine them in any way you choose. This is one of the best games to come out for the Switch yet!

Starlink has a good playful foundation, but it has been sacrificed to a generic Open World approach and rampant recycling. Atlas is all about mass instead of class - it's a shame about the great Toys-to-Life approach.

Just when you thought Toys to Life was dead, Starlink: Battle for Atlas cleans the mud off for a grand old space adventure. Even the Star Fox story doesn't feel forced or cringe-inducing. But if you want to save money, buy the $80 edition.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas is a solid space shooter that excels when it let's you unload on enemy ships in space. The ground combat is perfectly serviceable, but the game truly shines when you're flying through the stars and traveling between planets. You wouldn't be remiss if you got vibes of No Man's Sky from some of the space exploration and your ability to go from space to a planet's surface in one transition. The toys to life aspect is available if you want to go that route, but it's by no means required since this is completely playable digitally. This holiday season, consider picking up Starlink if you're in the market for a solid space shooter with a decent sci-fi story.
