This new installment of Soul Calibur feels like a kind of reebot, a return to the beginning of the saga where the fight is not only important, but also the universe created around the characters under a gameplay that involves a return to the beginnings, offering a much more technical and entertaining title than in other occasions.

I would love it if Soulcalibur VI was prettier and offered more warriors. But what I got was great nonetheless – a superb beat’em up game with a well-designed fighting system, tons of single player content, a solid multiplayer and a unique atmosphere. The legend is back!

The general feeling with Soulcalibur VI is disappointment. We simply expected more from a game we waited six years for. The story is lacking, it’s graphically unappealing, and it doesn’t even have a decent tutorial to explain how the game works or how to fundamentally play each character.

SoulCalibur VI is an excellent fighting game and one of the best entries in the franchise. If you've avoided the franchise until now, you should change that. There might not be another opportunity.

Soulcalibur 6 comes as a strong package simply by offering the modes we've come to expect from the series.

Soul Calibur VI has the heart and soul of what makes a great fighter great. However, Reversal Edge is a mixed bag, and some presentation elements lack visual investment. Regardless, Soul Calibur VI is the complete package, accommodating to newcomers and veterans alike.

Soulcalibur VI delivers newcomers and old-time fans alike a double serving: it's a solid 3D fighter that will surely keep one's fighting game community busy for months to come, and a single-player experience chock-full of things to do thanks to two lengthy single-player campaigns and an absorbing Character Creation mode.

SoulCalibur VI is a fantastic addition to the series and has quickly become my favourite fighting game of this generation. It looks amazing, sounds incredible and runs great.

Snappy and responsive weapon-based fighting let down by a boring new story mode and loading issues.

Soulcalibur VI expands the fighting experience with a brief history lesson surrounding the events of the game. While this does take some time to get used to, it offers some great context while introducing a new method to unlock items. There's a noticeable increase in the game's combat, but offers a familiar experience all-around.

SoulCalibur VI is the most dignified return to the stages of the Soul saga, which recovers the throne of 3D fighting games. With two intense story modes and a solid gameplay that returns to its origins by adding new features that make it even more accessible, we'll enjoy exciting battles filled with epic and fun.

This is on top of a one of the most robust single-player offerings I can think of in a fighting game, as well as more behind-the-scenes Museum content than one can shake a snake sword at. SoulCalibur VI is an incredible package, only bogged down by a few minor issues, and one that should be near the top of any fighting game fan's library.

SoulCalibur VI is a grand return to form for a fighting game series that's been overstuffed for decades. It's simple to play, tough to master, and incredibly fun. The best the series has been since SoulCalibur2, the game doesn't do much new. Instead, it adeptly refines something we've played before to deliver one of the most enjoyable fighting games in years.

And finally Bandai Namco has came back with one of its most liked series and most-anticipated games. SoulCalibur VI is here... It is a mixture of all that we like about a good fighting game. The fights are simple, accessible, fast and deep, and the visuals are good enough to make you satisfied. The only boring part is the slow paced and uninteresting storytelling with a lot of texts and long conversations that a fighting game doesn't need too much. If not The Best, SoulCalibur VI is definitely one of the best fighting games of 2018.

Soulcalibur VI is a good action fighting video game to have in your gaming shelves together with the other big games right now like Tekken 7 and Street Fighter V. This will be great for playing with friends who also love fighting video games.
