The World Ends With You is my favourite game of all time. The story is engaging and heartwarming, the characters are diverse and well-designed, and the gameplay is remarkably unique. Overall, TWEWY is a niche title that I think most fans of games like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts will enjoy.

The World Ends With You: Final Remix is a decent enough ARPG and is probably a genre that the Switch really needs more of, but the fantastic soundtrack alone isn’t enough to warrant the new release price tag the game currently carries.

The World Ends With You: Final Remix isn't just a long title. It is one of the best DS games reborn on a modern console. The music, the visuals, and the gameplay are all incredible, and having this cult classic come back to life is a blessing. This is an incredibly stylish RPG that demands your attention.

The World Ends with You: Final Remix on the Nintendo Switch is an interesting game and although I had fun playing it, the title did feel a little dated when compared to other titles on this console. Personally, I would have fine-tuned the combat a little better on the Nintendo Switch and I know that the developers were being innovative but the touch screen and the Joy-Con felt a little limited into what you can and can't achieve. Nonetheless, The World Ends with You: Final Remix is an interesting yet enjoyable JRPG experience on this console, although a little lacking.

The World Ends With You: Final Remix is a solid port of a classic, but it's far from the definitive edition we were promised.

The World Ends With You: Final Remix might be different from the DS version of the game, but it's still a great package. It's got a unique, customizable combat system, a modern story filled with intrigue and heart, as well as a fantastic soundtrack

Ultimately, The World Ends With You: Final Remix is a so-so port of an excellent jRPG. If you've never played it before, there's still a great time to be had. However, if you have the choice, grab the original.

Simple updates – like the ability to use Joy-Con controls in handheld mode, or more new additions besides re-skinned areas – could have easily made this the definitive version of the game. But as it stands, Final Remix feels like a bit of a missed opportunity.

The World Ends With You Final Remix is fantastic. A unique ARPG packed with a brilliant story, fun gameplay, and a fascinating premise, everything about it screams instant classic. Don't sit out on this one, especially if you can get around the initially jarring control options.

The Switch port of the DS RPG holds up well, even a decade after the original release.

The World Ends With You: Final Remix is a solid port overall. Still, unless you're an absolute diehard fan of the game who has to see the new story content, I have a hard time recommending this to anyone who's already played it on the DS. And for newcomers, if you can push past the awful touch controls, The World Ends With You provides a gripping tale that will consume you from start to finish.

The World Ends with You is a little less fresh and exciting than it was a decade ago. But, despite a few shortcomings and the loss of dual-screen play, it's still an incredible game and worthwhile for those who've yet to play it. There's not quite enough that's new here for returning fans though.

The World Ends With You Remix is always surprising, always challenging and always willing to ask the player to think outside of JRPG conventions they might have grown accustomed to. Granted, the art direction, once considered groundbreaking in 2007, now feels cliched, but the human voice added to the writing pushed aside any doubts I had about getting stuck in.

Over ten years later, TWEWY has lost none of the fun or style that made the original such a cult classic. Although the controls leave something to be desired, the chaotic battle system, catchy soundtrack, and engaging storyline all combine to make this an unforgettable RPG that hits all the right points. We'd give this one a high recommendation to anyone that hasn't yet experienced this gem in some form; there's plenty here to make this a game that's worth your time. If you've experienced the game before, however, we'd advise that you think hard about how badly you want it for your Switch. If this is the last we see of this property, then The World Ends With You: Final Remix feels like a fitting sendoff, even if it isn't perfect.

Now on Nintendo Switch, The Worlds Ends with You Final Remix is still a good and enjoyable game, but the port is lazy. Everything comes from Solo Remix, a mobile version from 2014, and the added gameplay system, with one Joy-Con that is used as a wiimote is not as efficient as it should be.

Sure, an enhanced version of a mobile port is bound to disappoint some, but The World Ends With You: Final Remix is a more accessible version of the original that's still an extremely memorable and one-of-a-kind experience.

The Nintendo Switch has the privilege of having the first home console version of The World Ends With You, bringing its already known level of quality, art style, soundtrack and fluid gameplay to a more contemporary audience. Despite its upgrade, the game still plays better on handheld mode, as issues with the control make it less fluid and less practical on a television screen. Nevertheless, this new version has enough elements to stand on its own and both fans of the original game and newcomers are strongly advised to dedicate some time to this marvel of a game.
