Stuck between cheap jokes on our contemporary society and more gritty situations than others, the non-adventures of Larry Laffer seem definitely anachronistic. The fact of proposing something schooly, crazy or erotic is not crippling but we find ourselves here with the outcome corny of a series that was definitely thought extinct.

If the concept of having sex isn't the funniest thing to you, then you won't find much to like here. Beyond its failing humor, all that is left is an uninspired adventure game that isn't particularly fun to play since the puzzles are never interesting to figure out. Even a franchise like Leisure Suit Larry deserves better than this.

Between the writing that's too often puerile and gameplay too often unengaging, Larry's going to be spending many a lonely night lest he up his game.

If you’re desperate for a sleazy point and click adventure on Switch, you might get some enjoyment out of Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry. It’s certainly not unplayable. But as point and click games go, its lack of a compelling story and poor puzzles relegate it to the bargain bin.

Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry is as crude as its title. The awful, lazy writing lets down what is otherwise a solid adventure game.

Leisure Suit Larry Wet Dreams Don’t Dry can be a fun game to play if you’re in it for its humor. But it’s most likely a game you’re gonna play once and never touch again. So there’s not much longevity here.

Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry is part tribute, part return to form, and, finally, probably the best attempt to bring the series to the new millennium so far. While this is certainly a breath of fresh air after the retched Box Office Bust, however, it could also be much better, first from a gameplay standpoint, but especially when it comes to its naughty humour.

While playing a Leisure Suit Larry game is the gaming equivalent of being seen reading a copy of the Daily Sport, this mostly unwanted revival of the series is actually far better than anyone was expecting.

It doesn't entirely reinvent the sleazy side of the series, but does just enough to form a solid adventure game.

As a franchise reboot, Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry isn’t bad, but it feels like a lot of wasted opportunities.

Considering the era we live in Leisure Suit Larry still being around at all is a bit of a surprise...

To conclude, it’s great fans have a new Leisure Suit Larry game to play with. Leisure Suit Larry Wet Dreams Don’t Dry looks good and plays as expected. However, it’s not the best game in the series and won’t entice new players into the fold. This is in part due to its poor pacing and archaic game design. A game which relies on obscurity, bundles players with numerous objects and basks in trial and error doesn’t make a good all-round experience. That is despite some pleasant positives with the script and cartoon visuals. If you can stomach aimless wandering around without giving in to a guide, then check this out. It’s fun to play and amusing to see where it ends up. Anyone else though should avoid unless they are quite happy looking up hints online every time thrown spanners hamper progression.

Leisure Suit Larry has a long-running history with video games. Initially starting in the late 80’s; Larry Laffer has been squirming his way through many different console iterations trying to charm the pants (quite literally) off any hot-blooded female he can get a hold of. This has been my first encounter with Larry, and it has undoubtedly made a lasting impression. I’m a big fan of the point and click genre, so I jumped at the opportunity to play this classic series.

Though it has its faults, if you like sex jokes and puzzles tied into a decent point-and-click dating adventure, then Larry Laffer's latest outing is the game for you.

Very vulgar humor and for younger players, archaic gameplay as well. That's Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry. If those two things don't scare you, then you can try this modern entry in this old and well-known game series. Everyone else should rather avoid it.

Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry is a good start to a potential comeback for the series. The return to the classic point-and-click formula is appreciated, even if some of the puzzle solutions can be obscure. The humor could be much better, but some of the jokes do stick, and the presentation is decent. Franchise fans will enjoy this title if they won't miss the original creator's nuances.

I'm not sure Wet Dreams Don't Dry is worth playing if you've never been on an adventure with Leisure Suit Larry before, but those of us who have will enjoy the trip back in time to…uh…2020. The comedy is mostly there, the frustrating puzzles are fully there, and the lessons therein will make us take a critical look at ourselves if we're open to doing so. Larry's always been useful in that way.

Without a doubt, Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry aims at those that played the originals. The narrative is actually quite enjoyable, if you can look past the toilet humor. It's a very formulaic, paint-by-numbers, old-school adventure game with the same repugnant Larry Laffer, lacking many modern amenities. The throwback gameplay certainly has its appeal, but optional support could have led to the game being more widely accessible. No auto-save? Come on (pun intended).

Wet Dreams Don't Dry brings Leisure Suit Larry into the modern era in a suitably awkward and entertaining fashion. It's a good point n' click adventure, and is funny on a fairly regular basis. Just don't expect too much to have changed with its horndog hero.
