This is a great chance to try out one of the best action games from PS2 era. It might not showcase current standards in visuals but the story and narrative is as good as ever.

Still a great game after all these years. Featuring improved controls with almost none of the visual upgrades.
First game in the Onimusha series with the title of "Warlords" managed to become one of the best titles of PS2. A game that got a great response from gamers and was a start to favored series of Onimusha. This remastered version of this title that is released 18 years after the original and it's a blessing for the fans of this series in absence of new titles. However a question remains that we can not clearly answer: "Will the new audience and younger gamers enjoy this game as much as the old gamers who played the original?"

As a whole, the remaster of Onimusha: Warlords is a mixed bag for me. The graphics still look pretty outdated and the fixed camera is a huge annoyance. That being said, it's nice to revisit old games like this because developers don't really make games like this nowadays. It's worth playing since it only costs $19.99, although some people may find the game to be short as most player will complete it in around 4 hours…
Onimusha: Warlords is still a fun game and its remaster is worth its low asking price, it’s just a title that has aged far worse than the likes of other Capcom games that have been remastered this generation.
Onimusha: Warlords is exactly how you remember it, and in 2019, that's not necessarily a good thing.
It's just a shame it didn't get a little more love in this remake.
Onimusha: Warlords is a fantastic game that will always be fondly remembered as a true classic. This remaster is, unfortunately, rather barebones and a big missed opportunity to bring back the franchise into the limelight.
Onimusha: Warlords is a somewhat rough but enjoyable adventure, making it worth revisiting
While it would have been nice to see Capcom tart up those three original games and present them in one package, simply wanting more of what this remaster has to offer is a good sign. Beneath a new lick of paint and some clever adjustments, Onimusha: Warlords doesn’t make for an essential action game in 2019 but it’s a great modernization all the same and hopefully we’ll see more Capcom classics undergo a similar makeover.
A short but sweet gem of a game dusted off and polished by Capcom for a quick nostalgia trip. Visual and auditory upgrades make this the definitive version of Onimusha: Warlords, but nothing can hide the game's aging design.
Onimusha: Warlords was an intriguing and successful spin-off of the Resi formula in a Japanese setting. But despite being enjoyable, this is still only a polished remaster of a nearly two decades-old game.
This remaster seems only well suited for folks who've experienced the series before. It's tailor-made for folks who want to take a trip down memory lane. Even then, you'll find the same surprise I did—that Onimusha: Warlords is a game remembered as being better than it actually was.
I honestly did enjoy my time with Onimusha: Warlords, so much so that part of me wishes that I could have played through the franchise when I was younger, perhaps I may have been more tolerant for the control scheme.
While the story isn't out-of-this-world and the gameplay experience has some annoying flaws, Onimusha Warlords is, at the end of the day, a great game and a true classic that deserved to be brought to Xbox One.
New players will get the full, unabridged experience at a decent price, while old fans should find this treasured classic is still just as fun to dive into as they remember.
Important classic from the early days of the Playstation 2, which is no longer contemporary, but has a great atmosphere.

At times it can feel that Capcom's samurai adventure Onimusha is one of the PS2's forgotten classics.
I waited so many time to finally play an Onimusha game again. One of my most beloved series of all time which i have some of my best memories with, on PS2. Fortunately i must say that Capcom has done a great job on remastering quality of Onimusha Warlords and Technically, it is one the best remasters in this generation. After many years, Battle system and gameplay elements of Onimusha Warlords are still entertaining, challenging and fun. If you are looking for an amazing hack and slash in this generation, Onimusha Warlords Remastered is one of the best choices for you to play, even with some issues like camera problems. So either you play the original game or not, you must prepare yourself and Samanosuke to defeat Lord Nobunaga!

Onimusha: Warlords is a fun remaster for those who have not experienced the franchise.
