With so many choices left unexplored and far too many hidden items I have yet to discover, 11-11: Memories Retold is a replayable title with new experiences for me to discover. What if I don't send that picture to Julia and send this one instead? And where is that last card game I seem to have missed? It only took about four and a half hours for me to complete the game once. Surely I can spare another afternoon or two to bolster my trophy count and make some tough choices.
This is a singular dramatic achievement in the adventure game genre, with high production values and a superb narrative.

All up it'll take you roughly 6-10 hours (11 if you are me) to finish the game. It is a sobering experience to play through but does not weigh too heavily which it certainly could have considering the subject matter. There are moments of humour and action in its own very unique and special way. This title was a delight to play and to experience a very uniquely told story. I do recommend it.
11-11: Memories Retold, however, is still a game worth more than a look-in, and at roughly five-to-six hours, you'll gain a deep and respectful look at one of the world's most jarring global conflicts, from the perspectives of the individual.

And even though it might not be exactly a true story, it doesn’t matter; it paints an important picture. One that can help a whole generation of people understand what soldiers went through during the First World War. What could be more impressive than that?
Memories Retold is a memorable and engaging adventure that needed to be made. However, like a history lesson you half paid attention to, that doesn't necessarily mean it was enjoyable to play. Ultimately, it's good enough to slog through, but that may not be the case for everyone.

11-11: Memories Retold doesn't attempt to tell a grand tale about World War 1, instead it decides to take a more personal approach. Following 2 soldiers as they take part in The Great War for personal reasons. The adventure is a deeply enriching tale about endurance, friendship, and honor where large-scale fights take a back seat. The abundance of collectibles and technical issues sometimes hamper the experience but these are minor issues. 11-11: Memories Retold is a moving tale of 2 soldiers trying to survive The Great War without killing thousands of NPCs and lots of guns.
11-11: Memories Retold tells a deeply touching human tale of war. Of one man seeking a grand adventure and heroism. Of another man attempting to reunite his fractured family. Of the many who lost their lives serving their respective countries.
While the gameplay isn’t particularly thrilling, more often than not it still services a well-told story in a gorgeously realized game.

Delving into the lives of the two men on opposing sides who enter the war for very human reasons and whose lives are deeply affected by each other and the war itself, is taxing, moving and as a narrative experience, poignant and worthwhile.
